YIKES! Good thing nobody got hurt...I'll have to remember this video when I see all the sea lions in Monterey and Pacific Grove.
Stupid people, though. They get the thing all fired up expecting food, then they wave their hands in front of it.
I just saw this video on the News this morning and horrified was exactly what I felt when I saw that little girl pulled under the water so fast by that sea lion! Thank God this news story had a happy ending.
Just saw this on news myself...I literally almost jumped out of chair.Did not see that coming. Scary.
I'm so used to seeing sea lions basking in the sun...hundreds of them in One place in Pacific Grove...they look so harmless. But any animal can do the unexpected especially when food is involved...even Pickles.
Yes I read this yesterday..I was astonished at the speed the child was pulled into the water by that sealion...it's so small too... but that was nothing compared to the speed of her uncle who dived into save her.. and throw her out again.. if he hadn't been such a quick thinker that child would be dead...all sheer stupidity on the part of the parents allowing the child to sit so close to a wide animal which was expecting to be fed.
