Udemy is an online university that has classes for popular topics, like photoshop, how to make money online and much more like photography and Forex Trading.

I found serveral classes that are interesting to me. You may also find something of interest to you.

I much prefer free learning. Seeing that such a thing is possible. Having been on Udemy some of the courses there are a waste of time and could be self-taught instead of paying someone to teach something could be learned on free time. Some of their attempts are despicable as learning methods and to be believed. Khan Academy is way better as an online learning environment.

Here's a tip for Udemy. If you go to the search box and type in "free" you can get quite a few free Udemy courses. Most of them are introductory type courses, but they are free. You can learn all kinds of tech/web type things like coding a web site or learn to play the guitar!

There are sop many free courses these days from the best educators in the world (like MIT and Stanford) that the only two reasons I can think of paying for it are:
    1. Certification - you want the paper, you have to pay for the course.
    2. Niche - some professional, specific and technical courses are very difficult to find for free. Although this is rapidly changing, many IT vendors now offer free courses for example (I remember paying IBM over 1000 pounds sterling for a one-day course on RACF back in the 80s).

If you're interesting in programming or information technology there are many free groups out there that will assist you in learning and help you build a portfolio of your work. Right now I'm interested in learning to build Apps for the Android phones. I figure since I already know some programming and teenage kids can do it - why not? I know guys in their late 60's who started out with a certain software and are still some of the best in their field. Don't let any preconceptions stop you.

I finally had an opportunity to check this website over. Browsing through the free courses I may have found a course that will help me in understanding not only how to make money online but instructions on how to complete certain tasks and a lot of technical terms that I'm not familiar with.

Thank you Pat. :) Great post!
