Ingredients 1 can of Comstock apple pie filling 1 box of Duncan Hines dry angel food cake mix Instructions Mix the 2 ingredients Pour into a greased 9×13 pan Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until the top browns
That looks simple enough. I'm usually wary of recipes that specify brand names though. A can of apple pie filling and a box of cake mix would be a better way to put it.
That would be a box of angel food cake mix @Sheldon Scott This recipe just came up on my FB page and since it only has 2 ingredients and those 2 ingredients are both things I like...I decided to share it. I'm going to make it tomorrow since my husband brought home those things for me. I'll let you know if it is good.
That does look good, and I bet just about any fruit filling would work. Hmmm ... cherries, peaches, even pineapple! Top with whipped cream.
Here's how mine came out. I used Lucky Leaf apple pie filling and Betty Crocker angel food cake mix. I also added some extra cinnamon because I really like cinnamon. I had some with my coffee this morning and it is very light and flavorful. A much healthier dessert for all of us too.
Hmmm. I used to make a similar cake with an angel food cake mix and a large can of crushed pineapple. I haven't made one of those in years but I guess I need to.
I bought a Spanish Bar Cake at the grocery a few days ago. I should have looked at the sell by date because it was dry as heck. I considered making my own but got scared by the amount of ingredients needed from an online recipe. A baker I'm not but I should be able to handle two ingredients. Gotta try this one.
