I went to the quilt show today that they only have every other year. Luckily I was off and just found out about it yesterday when I went to the quilt store. It was fun, beautiful quilts on display and venders. I bought some fabric with cats (of coarse) and then a couple small things made by the quilt guild members and the guild sells second hand and vintage fabric and craft items so cheap, spent $1.50 there. Anyway, it also looks like I'm off for the yearly holiday craft fair in my town. Last year I worked. It's always fun to go and look around. It's at the fair grounds and it used to be in two buildings, now just one. I don't know if they aren't as popular as they used to be or what. But when I went two years ago there were a lot of people there and people were buying. Anyone else like these type events and do you have them in your area?
Yes... we still have some in our area the most popular being a very large annual (fundraising) Quilt show in the spring. I do go to the odd small craft events in our community, mostly to do a wee bit of shopping for Christmas and I always to manage to find some nice small and unique handmade items to send to family and friends overseas.
@Ann George They are fun. I'm beginning to wonder why people don't buy more hand made items as gifts. And it's always fun to look around. I think I was at the quilt show for 2 hours. Voted for the buffalo head quilt as my favorite. I was amazed someone can do that. I sew but I'm not a quilter.
