Now that I'll be here in Virginia for a week, I had to buy a case of Cheerwine. I think that Cheerwine could be described as the Moxie of the Carolinas. I don't think it's available in too many states other than the Carolinas and the immediately surrounding area. Its distribution is larger than that of Moxie though, which is pretty much only available in Maine now - and at that, mostly in mid- to northern Maine, since a lot of stores in southern Maine don't carry it. For those of you who are unfamiliar with either of them, they are soft drinks, and ones that have been around for a long time, but which are now available only in a small area.

Probably not. It's better when I have it seldom. I lived in North Carolina for a couple of years and, while I found it interesting, I didn't buy it often.

I first tried it when we were working at the rescue mission in Charlotte, NC. To me, it is kind of similar to a cherry coke, and I liked it. I am pretty sure that we have both the regular and the sugar-free here in Alabama, too. I do not buy pop very often; but I think I remember seeing some at the store.

I know it's made here in NC but, would you believe, I've never tasted it. I don't know why. I'll have to get me a bottle and try it.
