Self-driving cars are now under testing on the roads of Singapore. There are 6 taxicabs that take in passengers for the purpose of a road test. Although there is a driver and an observer, the cabs are driving by itself and the driver is only there for emergency purposes.

Uber in Pittsburgh (their main headquarters I think) is supposed to be trying out self driving cars as well. Call me crazy, but I prefer drivers!! I have never ridden in an Uber but I wouldn't be adverse to it. It sounds like a cheaper wayto get around and better than a taxicab. THis technology would have to be out a lot longer before I would feel comfortable with it. It is just one of those things that sounds a bit bizaree at first, but probably would work.
