I dreamed that I was at someone's house, and two people lived there, an older woman about my age, and her son, who was probably late 40's or so. My son Michael was also there visiting; so I guess that he knew who they were, but I really did't know them, and have no clue why I was even there.
Anyway, the son was talking about being an alcoholic, and wanting to stop drinking, and I was trying to tell him about using EFT (meridian tapping) for stopping any kind of unwanted habits or cravings.
He just sat there and laughed at me, and said it was all a bunch of nonsense; so I thought it was time for me to leave.
For whatever reason, I had a little container of delicate dishware that I needed to wash before i went home, and when I did that, I lost the lids for the salt and pepper shakers.
The whole house was a cluttered mess, and the shaker lids were teeny little things that would have been hard to see in any case.
The woman found a flashlight and she was trying to help me look.
I think that I finally found both lids just before i woke up. What a strange and ridiculous dream ! !

Interesting dream for sure! :) I'm afraid I'd have to agree with the son... the tapping, according to many MANY interviews I did for an article (still to be written, sadly ) doesn't work for any of the issues it's supposed to help with *unless* the person psychologically convinces themselves that it's working. (Not medically, I should say... well, it's complicated what I mean) Not unlike the placebo effect, I suppose.

S&P shakers... I have no clue what that was about! :D

Sounds like you are trying to sort things out and are losing
The couple ................. outsiders looking in on the problem ?
Our thoughts of the past couple of days, get mixed up in the dream don't they
    Strange it was

I once read that salt and pepper in dreams is symbolic of money and that a salt shaker means a good woman .....

I've had weird dreams but can't remember them for too long after I wake up. They're not disturbing just things that wouldn't happen in real life.

You're dream sounds like forum posts were rattling around in your head and they crossed paths and became a dream. :)

I really like that theory, too, @Julie Stewart ! Coming into some money would always be a blessing ! I will try really hard to think about salt and pepper shakers before I go to sleep at night from now on.
Dreams are just so obscure in their meaning sometimes, and I always wonder if they mean anything at all or maybe they are just strange things that the subconscious mind comes up with to entertain itself.

I don't think your dream was ridiculous @Yvonne Smith. And while I'm not going to even try and interpret this for you because I am not any good at interpreting others dreams, I would say that dream does have some meaning that may unfold for you if it is message of significance for you. Some dreams are for entertainment, some dreams are our longings that we can't voice while we are awake, and some dreams are warnings, or helpful messages to our lives.

My only specialty in the dream area is my dreams about babies. I have dreamt about all the babies I had, and quite a few of my children's and some of my siblings, etc. and these dreams were long before my pregnancies or theirs. Alot of times when you dream of babies it can mean not having a baby but something new being "born" into your life. I also have dreams of moving to different places that have come true when I didn't even know I was going to be moving. I guess that is why I can't make a decision on whether or not to move to Texas...there is no confirmation that this is what we should do either by the Holy Spirit or in a dream, etc.

I find your dream interesting and I do believe it is a message for you or maybe your son and I have no doubt if it is important...you will learn the meaning of it. :)

I've had lots of baby dreams, Babs. So far nothing new has come into my life. Most of my dreams involve babies, almost 95%. I've even had the scary one where I'm the one having a baby at my age. I'm glad when I wake up from one of those. :)

I often have vivid and seemingly meaningless dreams - and I use them as inspiration for fiction writing. My nonsense poem "Hula Hooping Naked" which is elsewhere in this place was inspired by a dream in which I was hula hooping naked in public ..... another dream in which all I remembered was a granddad, his grandson and a very young, orphaned pygmy hippo calf that they had kidnapped and were transporting in a push-along ice-cream cart - I developed into a full length screenplay and am currently writing the tie-in novel (If anybody knows Steven Spielberg - please point him my way ...)

Mine usually involve something I was thinking about or pondering before I went to bed. Even if it was just something I heard on TV or something. It is usually related loosely to something in my life or I can figure out the connection, as nonsensical as it might be. Anyway, I was watching something earlier about the Romans in Britain, as the pickings are slim around here with no CBS. I wonder if Constantine will invade my dreams!

Last night I dreamed that the local theatre had approached Dany and asked him to play the lead in their upcoming version of "Phantom of the Opera".

I told Dany over breakfast and he looked at me with a "What ......??? !!!!!!! " expression ..... then proceeded to tell me had had two dreams about himself. In one he was playing for the French Rugby team in the Olympic Games in Rio and he scored loads of tries and converted loads of kicks. In the other he rushed into an affray to save a man who was being beaten up by a group of men. He (Dany) pulled the men away, knocked a few of them out, frightened off the others and gave life-saving first aid to the man who had been beaten into unconsciousness.

Dany is very shy - he'd freeze in front of an audience and he can't hold a note. He's a fit 67 year old who used to run marathons, he loves watching sport but was never good at any sport that required equipment other than a good pair of running shoes. He's also likely to back off if he sees trouble and would call the relevant services for help.

We're wondering what's in store for him ......

Well it sounds like Dany might be in for some sort of adventure. I think that you and Dany both having some sort of dream where he is a daredevil and an actor of some sort may mean he is going to be called on to do something interesting and out of character in his life. Of course, I am just guessing. I have no earthly idea what is in store..:);)

@K E Gordon - either that, or not. The dreams might be confirming his normal, peaceful life. The weird thing is that we both had them on the same night ....

This is my own interpretation of that dream. The alcoholic man refers to a long term issue, not really a problem but an issue at home like a portion of the house needing repair or maybe a furniture needing a replacement. The shakers are symbols of wealth like a bank account so when you were missing the lid that means money is flowing out from you but this may be in the future and not currently your situation. And it's a good thing that the problem of the lids was resolved before you woke up for the spending will not be that much.
