I like most people got onto the blogging for bucks idea several years ago. I was pretty diligent to start with, (at least for me) however, I kind of lost interest in it, when it didn't turn out to be the cash cow, I had anticipated. However, I think I know a bit more about what to do, and what not to do in terms of making money on a blog. Basically, you have to love your topic, treat it like your job..and be very proactive. It has to be the focus of your life in order to make big bucks. You have to sell your blog to advertisers..get repeat traffic etc. It needs to be hosted. A domain name helps a lot..etc. I have created an "older and wiser blog" I think that if I follow the steps of successful bloggers that have gone before me, I might actually make more than 10 bucks on this one! Let's hope so! If I could make a living blogging..I would be super thrilled.:)

We have a blog and I'm sure you can guess what it's all about - pets, of course. I co-wrote those articles with my husband although he was the dominant writer, obviously. But I was always the one who did the story outline, that's the substance of the article, mind you. And after being published in a pet magazine, we uploaded the articles into www.petizone.blogspot.com so those who didn't buy the magazine have the chance to see our articles.

We availed of the free blog hosting in Blogger.com. As an added bonus, it is registered with Adsense, that is the advertising platform of Google which pays the blogger from the revenue of the ads. We have already earned $200 from those ads.

Yes, my blog is about my cat from the cat's point of view. I didn't mean that it was about being older and wiser...because although I am most certainly older, being wiser is not one of my specialties. That is pretty good Corrie, I think serious bloggers use Wordpress, and get hosted and all that stuff. I am starting on blogger, but as I get more established I plan on moving it. I am in a cat group on Facebook, and am on different online sites so, I think I have a ready made audience. Yes, Adsense is good as well. I think I could make some money on there, but my hope is to really make good money in the future...but time will tell,

No not even sure what blogging is about. I'm not very good at expressing things so I don't think it would go very far anyway.
