Rest assured, Obama will definitely not be bound to hell. His endearing ways will "buy his way out", allowing transconveyance to whatever place Muslims in "good standing" wind up.

    @Ken Anderson
It is frightening, to me, to even contemplate such possibility, even though I know about CIA killings and loss of innocent lives, like the 1978 French passenger train demolition blamed on CIA to kill an adversary mid-east villain who turned out to not be aboard, about 150 innocents dead.

What I fail to understand is, how will laws, in this country filled with highly-skilled artisans capable of building almost anything, whether "legal" or otherwise, prevent the making of 2nd. Amendment hardware to be distributed as necessary to reverse the status quo.

The Constitution has been trodden upon by many folks in the White House, to the point that many almost unthinkingly question it's validity, choosing rather to accept and believe their "leaders" positions and "guidance". THIS is the truly wearying result of recent years' lobbying to "endear the voting public".

Common sense has no longer any meaning. Blind acceptance is the easier way out, and amounts to the demise of the "American Way".

Because most people will obey the law, however illegal the law may be. So while we are arming terrorists overseas, we're disarming Americans, leaving us entirely in dependence on our government to keep us safe. That's where the power lies.

@Ken Anderson Many will obey, but at least some will not. I'm seeing more talk on Twitter and Facebook by people who carry concealed into nightclubs and other restricted zones, simply because they refuse to become victims. I know some of them could be loose cannons, and some may just be full of bluster, but I'm seeing more and more talk about refusal to obey laws they don't agree with, particularly if part of the 2nd amendment is repealed. I think people feel more free to speak these days, and perhaps there is more talk that's been going on behind the scenes that people aren't aware of. I certainly hope if it comes down to a choice, people will disobey laws that are not in the favor of the citizens.

Where does it stop then, Diane? Citizens disagree on what is in their favor. If you have a right to disobey a law, so do others. I'm not anti gun at all but I'm not for do what you feel like it either.

Then you have those that say it was staged anyway, so who will they shoot if it didn't happen? I see this as ending up very badly for everybody.

@Chrissy Page No, I don't mean disobey every law they don't agree with, I mean if there's a major situation such as mentioned by @Denise Happyfeet in her dream. If it comes down to the government going house to house to remove firearms, I stand with the people. I don't agree with people just breaking laws willy nilly, but I am concerned about dangerous government overreach.

Ok, I understand but I don't see that ending very well either. A lot of bloodshed and deaths on both side. It would be police or military coming I assume so when they come and ask for your gun, you're going to shoot them?

It could be someone's son obeying orders. :(

Also chances are they won't come alone and will have better weapons than you or anyone else does so that will leave the people that didn't have guns and the government or whoever will be doing this left.

Registered or not, I'm sure if they really want to they can find you, heck I can probably find you. :)

That picture is already in cyberspace. If I googled your name and did an image search that pic may pop up with a link back to here.

The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land, and any statue, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail. This is succinctly stated as follows:

The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of its enactment, and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it.

An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.

Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principals follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it . . .

A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one.

An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law.

Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the land, it is superseded thereby.

No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.

What law is unconstitutional, Ken? I'm not understanding why you posted that.

I don't think guns should be banned, that's not what I'm saying.

Since the 2nd Amendment provides the constitutional law that says I have the right to bear arms, any law that might be passed subsequently that would deny that is no law at all.

I wasn't saying anything about it being unconstitutional or not a law. I'm just saying just because you are right doesn't really mean anything, you could still end up dead...lots of people could.

I can't but you posting those pics will help whoever can. I don't even know what a 170 grain soft tip is. My late husband would have known, I'm pretty sure he and a few of his friends had guns that were illegal to own or his friend modified them. Doesn't matter, he's gone and so are the guns but
I'm willing to bet he wouldn't have won in a shootout with anyone trying to take them away. They will out power you so easily. Just think of the weapons the military has. It would be a slaughter and that's all I'm trying to point out. The actual reality of how this would play out.
