@Yvonne Smith - I've already got an Amazon account and lots of free books I'd downloaded to "Kindle for PC" but never found time to read.I'll probably continue to choose my books using my PC. I really must make some time to read the online manual, though I hate reading manuals and tend to only use them for reference when I get lost. I'll remember your kind offer if I have any questions. Thanks. Thanks Ken. I must check whether my cellphone charger has the same fitting. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that.
If you want a Kindle and you are an Amazon Prime member, today is the day to buy one. $49 for a regular Kindle, $79 for a Kindle Fire.
There are some good deals on Kindles (and some other tablets) on Amazon right now if you've got Amazon Prime. I almost bought an Android tablet because it was cheap, but then I realized that I didn't need an Android tablet and would probably never use it. Such restraint is very unlike me.
My wife had a Kindle (or two?) for a while. Now we both have recent model iPads and use them for just about everything. I have Kindle and iBooks apps on my iPad.
Michelle has an iPad but although I've used Macs for years and have an iPhone, I don't care for the iPad. Since I wouldn't be using it as a replacement for my computers, I much prefer my Kindle for reading. I use my Kindles daily.
