This used to be my favorite show when I found several of the seasons on Netflix, 1-13 with John Nettles. I was so disappointed when he left the show, and I really had tears in my eyes on the last episode, that I never went back to look for the show again.

Just 2 days ago I got a message from Netflix saying there were more seasons/episodes of Midsomer Murders, so I of course went in to look. Well, John wasn't back on there, but his cousin had taken over as DCI I think is the title of the cop'r John Nettles played. I mean his cousin on the show:) It is great!! And I am addicted once again, lol!!

Just love good, English movies, and television;) This is BBC pretty sure, but anyway, just wanted to let you know if you liked the show before, and thought it was a cancelled show, like I thought;) Yeehaw!!

I used to play the Midsomers Murder game on Facebook, got bored with it, though, just like I'm bored with Facebook.

I never played any games on Facebook and get annoyed at friends who ask for game requests or whatever they are called.

I'll have to take a look at that on Netflix, Denise.

I do not like the games on FB, but I like to play Texas Holdem, no limit on pogo. Nobody bugs you for anything, and I'm not even a paying member. I have to wait like 30 sec. in between games, but they don't interrupt a game, and you are playing against 3 other people. It keeps going, uninterrupted until someone wins. One time me and one other person played so long we got bored and were making ridiculous bets, but that was way fun too;)

Midsomer is good if you like mysteries;) and bbc.

I play one game on my iphone and it's an app and I've played it for years but it can get expensive so I've cut back a lot.

Yeah, I can't afford to pay for any, or choose not to. I do pay for Netflix, and I buy my Nook ebooks from Barnes and Noble, also, an occasional, hidden, object game. I switch around on things anymore. I don't seem to have as good an attention span as I used to. Reading is my fave thing after 9ish at night, but lately, I'll sit and watch 2 episodes of Midsomer. They are 1.5 hours long too, LOL! I sleep good if I read a little before I crash:)

I don't mind doing it off my nook, where I don't have to strain to read by a lamp. I think reading a regular book in bed is too bothersome now, I'm spoiled. I don't have to hold a heavy book, or turn pages, LOL!! ttyl, gonna nap a little. I'm getting a nice, 2nd hand recliner tomorrow, and a microwave that is way better than mine. One of the guys, I didn't know, thank goodness, passed away about a month ago. His sisters are here cleaning out everything. They offered me the chair and micro when one of the neighbors told them I was way short of furniture. I may score a few other things too. Nice stuff, all of his thing look nice, clean etc.;)

the TV has taken over my reading! It's terrible, I can't tear myself away so I read next to nothing anymore and I have books recently acquired that I know I'll like but.... On the TV mystery subject Im not too big on that but I love Poirot!

The same happens to me Ruby:) I am really hooked on X-Files, Frazier, and Midsomer right now, those are all on streaming video, Netflix, 7.99 a month. I am still reading a bit before bed, I have my fave, cozy mysteries. I don't see anything wrong with watching shows, or reading books we like. I think we are all where we are supposed to be. True, I am trying to get out more now, but sometimes, there is nothing better than being in my own, little space, reading, watching something I love on tv, a bit of popcorn, yum:)

We may all live 100's, or 1000's of mile apart, but we are together in so many ways. Thank goodness for internet. I don't have to "feel" alone:) Denise

Not made by the BBC Denise..not that it matters if you're enjoying it of course...but just thought you might like to know it was actually made for and aired on ITV one of our major commercial channels... The difference with BBC tv programmes here in the UK is that we get to enjoy them without any commercial or ad breaks... unfortunately Midsomer murders is not one of those programmes so an hour show will get us 4 ad breaks..
