I hope this is a good place to put this idea of mine. Since crafters are often very good with their hands and their minds, I thought gosh how many times have we all thought of a really good idea on something that would make life easier and gave it some thought then promptly forgot about it.

I can be in the middle of a sewing or healthcare, or a cleaning project, and I will think of this great invention and wonder why someone has not thought to make it. Simple things that would make my life a little easier in the hobby room or kitchen, or like trying by myself to put cream on my back.

Yes, they have those long handled sponge things but it always seems the spot you need to hit in the middle is impossible to reach. So I pondered the issue and thought about those full sized heating pads and what if there was a flat tray that would fit ones back with a spongy layer of paper material you could layer on the cream then turn the heat on low and lay down on it. The cream would cover your back and maybe provide a moist therapy as well. Once or twice a week to banish dry skin on the back forever.

Now of course it sounds like it might work but that is out of my league to invent it, but how about you? Have you every come up with some little do-dad that would improve other peoples lives? No matter how crazy it may sound go ahead and add your ideas here.

@Sandy Wood . You and I must be on the same wave length today. I would like to invent a hand or machine tool where you can combine crocheting and knitting . If there is something already available please tell me what it is called and where I can find it.

I will occasionally have a brilliant idea for an invention that would have a major impact on whichever area it relates to, and then I promptly forget it. I have this discussion with a friend occasionally, and when we start brainstorming, ideas will come up. We never have paper/pen/tablet handy, and the ideas are gone as quickly as they arrive. I know some of them could be money makers, but neither of us has any capital to get an idea off the ground.

That sounds like a neat idea, @Von Jones. I don't know how to knit, but plan to learn one of these days, and it would be nice to have items that were a combination of the two techniques.

I am always inventing things like taking an old throw away flash camera and turning it into a hand held taser. I made a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field generator the ones on the market run from$400 to thousands mine cost me about $30. I also collected up some old used water bottles and with some plastic pipe build a solar water heater. I guess I just have an active imagination.

I had a wonderful idea and when I pitched it to the invention site, they had already gotten something like it invented. If you are able to get ideas of invention, why not go to the site that George Foreman recommends and give it a try for it could make you rich.

I am not an inventive person but sometimes I think of the robot. Why not make a robot that could be a sort of slave who would obey my commands? A robot who can do house chores and be my companion when I am alone in the house or be my escort in the market and security guard at night. Well?

For simple inventions, a shower spray from a tower would be ideal for summer. That tower over the roof would emit a mist of cold water that would cool the atmosphere. It would be better than using an air conditioner inside the house for if the exterior is cool enough then the interior would also be cool.
