nope. Maybe I got the settings wrong. If you are interested in seeing them, I can re-post. Sorry. I just did it to contrast my compost pile with Ken's.

It looks like @Don Alaska used PostImage to post the pictures. If I remember correctly, Postimage deletes pictures after a day or so.

That would explain it because they worked fine when he posted them.

Yeah, that may have been the issue. I think there was a setting for how long it was to be available and I was uneasy about leaving anything up on the internet for long if it is easily available. I know there is this forum, but....

I thought the weather had finally broken toward spring, but it was back below 0 F. again this morning, so I guess I still have some time to go. It is sunny and bright, however, so that is the up side. Snow and warm weather had been predicted, so we get clear and cold...typical NWS accuracy.

It's kind of chilly here today, but a month ago I would have referred to it as warm.

We had a good weekend, but it is back below zero this morning. I spoke with a checker at a local sporting goods store last week, and she mentioned that his was her first Alaska winter. I asked her where she moved form. She said, "Montana, where it is cold but the winters are not nearly so long."

Winter weather is over. Will top-out today at 76 degrees. It has been windy for days.
    Has ripped out the top
on my patio, banged it up good. The whole patio will have to be replaced. A few
hundred bucks. Or, I might convert it to something else, say a flower garden of
pot plants or cactus. I don’t know, I see the frame is all bent out of shape. Will
have tbe pulled down and scrapped. This patio has been a pain, in the winter and
spring, the winds have played havoc. I have replaced the roof four or five times. I’m too
old to mickey mouse with it anymore. Got some expensive lights on it I want to
salvage. Will have to hire someone when I make up mind.

Minus 2 F. this morning but sunny. We had a "storm" hit over the past 1 1/2 days, but it didn't amount to much. A few inches of snow fell and some wind to blow it around. I am running out of space for plants, as my wife is getting the kitchen re-done, and the cabinet delivery is taking up the space that I usually use for plants. I will set up some light shelves in one of the empty bedrooms for the time being, as the cabinets are going in on Monday. I don't want to heat any of the non-attached greenhouses until May, as it is either too much expense (small greenhouse) or too much wood and work (large greenhouse). I am simply getting too old for this.

It's in the mid-60s here. That's above zero, Don.

Not at all angry, @Martin Alonzo. We all choose to live where we live for reasons of our own. @Ken Anderson we still have a couple feet of snow on the ground, too...well, at least a foot and a half:).

Looks like spring has finally sprung here. It hit 50 F. today and the snow is melting fast.

We've had days in the upper 80s. Tonight's gonna get frost. Same for tomorrow night. And maybe Friday.
This always happens here in the spring. Mother's Day is the informal "safe day" when you know there will be no more frost.

I just fired up my wood stove after a couple of weeks (at least) of rest.
Nothing like real flames (versus a heat pump) to burn the chill off.
