In the last few days I've stopped receiving email notifications of Pm's and replies to threads ...it's always been fine except for the last few days... The only thing that's changed with my MAC is that my o/h installed Ghostery a few days ago ...could that be preventing my notifications from the forum does anyone know?
Shouldn't do Holly, Ghostery just hides your identity on the web, stops cookies etc.,maybe they are going into spam?
Same thing happening with me, Holly. I have so many emails that I need to delete that I was kind of glad but thought I accidentally touched something on here to stop them. It's only been in the last few days that this started. I checked spam and they are not there.
Yes I stopped mine months ago as I was getting so many, but Ken changed the default on threads to default emails off, you have to tick the box on new threads to get emails, but that was ages ago not recently. Maybe something on the site has stopped them being sent?
That's what I was thinking, Terry. I like getting email notifications but it can be a lot to delete and if you are lazy, they along with other emails add up. Wish there was a quick way to delete all emails in inbox.

Yup exactly what I thought too Terry so I'm stumped...and no they're not going into my spambox...just not getting them I only get emails about PM's and threads where I've specifically ticked the email reply ..box..at first like you @Chrissy Page I was getting waaay too many emails, until I discovered on every thread (Bonnie) you can choose to opt in or out of emails for that particular thread..but the emails for PM's have always been something I have chosen to receive...but not getting them now!
I don't know if I'll be able to help with that. Other than checking to see if the right boxes are checked or unchecked, I don't have a lot of control over the email notifications. My guess would be a spam filter because one of the things they look for are similar emails that come frequently. I know that I find things like newsletters in my spam filter sometimes, when I had requested them.
I sometimes don't get e-mail notifications, but that's ok with me. However, when a person creates a new Thread, the option is at the bottom of how you want to get e-mail notifications........Instantly, Daily, Weekly or None. On this reply, I don't have a box on the bottom of the reply asking me how I want to get e-mail notifications, so, apparently, when there is no box to chose, you won't get any. E-Mail Notifications is not an automatic thing.
@Holly Saunders , yes that's is what I had checked also. PMs and the posts that I'm interested in. I didn't touch anything in my settings and until a couple days ago I was receiving emails.
Same here. I use yahoo. I just checked and double checked everything in my settings and nothing has been changed.
I just checked the email address that I use for SO notifications and like Holly and Chrissy, I haven't received any from the threads I subscribe to since the the 22nd Feb, so maybe there is a problem Ken? @Chrissy Page @Holly Saunders @Ken Anderson
