Boris, it's an interesting question I've considered before too, especially since my best Mormon friend died recently and my Atheist mother not long before that. It is perplexing to understand how we're gong to reconnect with our loved ones in heaven, which is what knowing pastors teach and near death experiences report, but not miss the loved ones who aren't there.

Since the Bible clearly specifies that there is no sorrow or pain in heaven (or the new world afterwards to come), God must some how allow our souls and resurrected bodies and minds to have selective memories. There's no way we could be in eternal paradise and feeling grief for those that didn't make it.

Yeah Joseph, that's the most frequent response I've heard, and I guess makes the most sense. But still ....

God explains things to us in terms we can understand, but His wisdom and His plans for us are beyond our comprehension. I don't try to fill in the details.

Memory even now on earth is possible to have "under control" ,whether for good or for bad, with God or against God.

People who were violent, wicked, liars, thieves, and harmful,

who I met decades ago, I have virtually no recollection of at all - and honestly most often forgot them entirely within sometimes days, weeks, months, or at most a year or two. Perhaps no 'emotional' or feelings recollection - nothing disturbing - while sometimes still remembering 'facts' per se, i.e like they existed, who they were, what they did if known, and why they perished. But no painful memory of them, other than grief that even a wicked soul was lost, as expected when a good person dies, but who would give their life for a wicked sinner ?! (Jesus did)

Memory is controllable , for some at least, and for all those in Christ Jesus, so things can be not only forgiven, but also forgotten.

When someone greets a soldier who was missing in action, presumed dead for ten years, then found alive!
When meeting them again after so many years, with immeasurable joy (for spouse , child, or parent) ,

would anyone believe for an instant that at that same time as the reunion,

they would be thinking of someone who stole their lawnmower just a week earlier ?! NO! :) .... no memory of the bad

when in the presence of even such great worldly joy/ relief/ happiness/

then try to imagine the heavenly joy/ relief/ happiness overwhelming us in heaven ..!!! no , no memory of the bad. - not even a thought...

That sounds fair enough Jeff. So if I don't see you there I won't realise it. Easy.

It won't be easy for you.

From all you've said, unless something changes, you won't see anyone.

The Bible teaches that ALL will eventually be saved. This topic is involved and is beyond the scope of this forum. If you can send me a private message so I can give you my email address, that would be good. We can discuss it via email. If not, I can recommend a few free PDFs on the topic.

    oops. not.
Be aware that the teachings related to everyone is saved no matter what, have long been around, and are deadly, in the direction of destruction of the soul.

Jeff, are you perhaps the board troll? I am far more aware than you are of the Bible support and history of the teaching of Universal Reconciliation. Rather than reacting and simply labeling everything as false without first investigating, investigate. Jeff, you and I are not going to get along. We are very different personality types and I have met your type before and you have met my type before. We clash and it is always unpleasant. I will avoid your posts for the sake of harmony between two brothers in the Lord. Avoid mine as well for the same reason. Thank you and the Lord bless you Jeff.

So the Bible teaches this but you have pdf's that actually show what the Bible teaches? Why is the Bible not the source?

So, if you never read it in the Scriptures, how do you know it isn't there? You need to study the Scriptures not merely read them devotionally sister. Too bad you weren't a professor at Moody or Dallas as we could have used an Oracle such as yourself in determining doctrine rather than laboriously studying the Word and learning the languages of inspiration. Here are a few Scriptures for you despite the fact that you do not need them due to your extreme expertise in the Scriptures:

For examples of Scriptures that declare that the Lord Jesus Christ will eventually save All humankind through the Blood of His Cross see John 12:32, Romans 5:18,19, 11:32, 1 Timothy 2:4-6, 4:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:22-28. Read Philippians 2:9-11 in conjunction with 1 Corinthians 12:3, and Colossians 1:20. Colossians 1:20 says that Ta Panta(The All which is the Koine Greek way of saying ''the entire universe'') has been reconciled to Him.

Should you desire more I can post the URLs to a couple of books in PDF format for you to read. Or you can email me directly and we can discuss it via email. Just ask for my email address.

    In Christ Jesus,
    Dr, Nathaniel J. Merritt Met.D.

While it is true that our Creator not only wants but has given His Son as a sacrifice for our sins so that we all could be saved...it is also true that God says not everyone will choose salvation.

I plant seeds for God and I do not waste my time spouting so called biblical theology that I have found turns people off to wanting to know their Creator.

Brother Al, are you trying to start something? You must be, from the wording of your statement. I meet your kind everywhere online. Listen young man, I didn't mention PDFs as the source of the teaching but as something that will discuss the matter in detail, which I am not willing to do in a format such as this forum. I do not need these PDFs "to show what the Bible teaches." What a covertly nasty wording! I will keep my eye on you brother as you are a a skilled troll who is skilled enough to not seem like a troll, but you are a troublemaker. The Christlike way to respond to my post (are you interested in what He said? See, I can insinuate as well!) would be to respectfully demur then ask for more information, not to make covert insinuations. I am the wrong person to try such things with. I will avoid your posts and you will avoid mine. Thanks for understanding, brother Al.
