Somewhere, in one of the facebook groups that I belong to, someone was writing about Elijah, the Old Testament prophet. Elijah was taken up with a chariot of fire, and didn’t die, according to the Bible.
The book of Malachi states that before the second coming of Jesus, that Elijah must come first, and will help set everything up for the arrival of Jesus.

On the facebook group post, which I can no longer find (naturally), someone said that they had read that maybe President Trump could be the new Elijah and is getting everything ready for our Lord to come back.
So, I looked up the scripture, and then read some of the online responses to what biblical scholars think about Elijah returning again.
Some of them seem to think that it was just going to be John the Baptist (who said that he was NOT Elijah), and some think that the Two Witnesses will be Moses and Elijah.

Obviously, neither way would that look like it was President Trump. And most of the other Trump prophesies seem to think that Trump is signified by King Cyrus.
I am wondering if anyone else has come across this idea that Trump might be the return of Elijah and making this world ready for the return of Jesus ?

This is not a thread asking whether or not God exists, it is only about end time prophecy as it relates to President Trump and the Bible, and Christians.

Whatever was in the attachment it is gone. I'm only sure that God placed Trump here for a time such as this.

I am hoping so, too, @Al Amoling .
I have thought for a while that we could be in the tribulation period talked about in the Bible. Although it is not happening right here in the United States; it happens all over the world, Christians are being tortured and murdered. Even here , we are hated by many people, and we have watched the morals of this country literally decay and people turn their hearts away from God.

Malachi says that the new “Elijah” will come in the spirit and power of Elijah, and will prepare the way for the return of Jesus. It really looks to me like President Trump is trying his best to make this whole world a better (and safer) place to live, not just for America, but for the whole earth.
If it is Donald Trump, and he restores all things, as Jesus said in Matthew 17, then we can enter into the millennium of peace promised by Jesus.
I am hoping and praying for this !

I just watch David Jeremiah last night on youtube. He was talking about whether this was somehow related to the 2nd coming. He talked for about an hour to his empty church(empty because of COVID-19)
BTW the attachment from the first post is showing in both places.

It really looks to me like President Trump is doing things that will help get this world closer to being ready for Jesus to come, as it says the new Elijah will be doing, in the Malachi prophesy, and reiterated by Jesus himself in Matthew.
I have also been wondering what it is going to look like when Jesus does come back to bring in the millennium of peace. What do you think, @Babs Hunt ?
I have been hoping that you would be involved in this discussion, as well as some of the other Christians on this forum. We are all looking forward to the return of Jesus, and I am wondering how everyone visualizes this ?

No, Donald Trump is not Elijah. And the article above explains it so much better than I could ever put into words with sound Scripture too as proof.

We Christians (who would have been the Gentiles in the time Jesus walked this earth) do not take the place of God's chosen people who rejected both John the Baptist (the spirit of Elijah) and Jesus (the spirit and human form of God). It is only because of this rejection that we "gentiles" were given the gift of becoming the Bride of Christ...and Christ will come and take His Bride home with Him before the Tribulation that God's chosen people the Jews will go through. All people are going to go through "birth pangs" or the "beginnings of sorrows: (Matthew 24:3-14)...which is where I believe we are now. As the Bride of Christ we will be Raptured and not go through the Tribulation that the Jews must face for rejecting both John the Baptist and Jesus.

My opinion about our President Donald Trump is that in Biblical times he would have been considered a Christian King who tried his best to live the way God wants us all to live. But like King David who God loved dearly...he was human and had his faults too. Yet God saw King David's heart was for God and I believe Trump's is getting there too.

Trump is Trump and not Elijah or anyone else. The Second Coming is a nice thought but one that is difficult for this Humanist to believe.

I meant to include that all people who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will also go through the Tribulation (except for babies and those really young children who are not able to understand there is a choice to be made) They instinctively know God and belong to Him.

This was on one of my facebook groups this morning, and I thought it was awesome, and I wanted to share it with all of the other Christians here on the forum. I find so many great inspirational things from these Christian and patriotic (Trump-supporters) groups on facebook, and look forward to reading them each day.

The official lockdown started March 23 and will likely end May 1st. That is EXACTLY 40 days.

The Latin root of the word "quarantine" is "forty".
So what does the Bible say about 40?

    The flood lasted 40 days.
    40 years Moses fled Egypt.
40 days Moses stayed on Mount Sinai to receive the Commandments.
    Exodus lasted 40 years.
    Jesus fasted for 40 days.
40 days for a woman to rest after giving birth.

Optimum number of weeks for human gestation is 40.

A group of theologians thinks the number 40 represents "change”. It is the time of preparing a person, or people, to make a fundamental change.
Something will happen after these 40 days. Just believe and pray. Remember, whenever the number 40 appears in the Bible, there is a "change".

Please know that during this "quarantine" rivers are cleaning up, vegetation is growing, the air is becoming cleaner because of less pollution, there is less theft and murder, healing is happening, and most importantly, people are turning to Christ. The Earth is at rest for the first time in many years and hearts are truly transforming.

    Remember we are in the year 2020, and 20 + 20 = 40.

Also, 2020 is the year of the United States Census. Jesus Christ, the savior of the world, was born during a census.

Lastly, 2020 is perfect vision. May our sight focus on the Lord and living according to His perfect vision for us knowing He holds us in the palm of His hand.

May these days of "quarantine" bring spiritual liberation to our souls, our nation, and our world.

    Love this! Post copied. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I shared this in private conversation this morning, but then I thought that it would also fit for this thread, so am sharing it here also.

I have been thinking that we are at a huge crossroads , not only for our country, but for this whole world. We know the agenda of the Cabal/deep state, is one world government , and the population basically turned into slaves, and the rest of us simply eliminated.
We are starting to see some of this happening, under the guise of a virus, which is actually not much more dangerous than the regular flu.
Every possible death is now being attributed to the covid-19 virus, even when the patient has not been tested, or dies from a totally unrelated condition.
If you look at the charts, all other death statistics have virtually vanished.

The Qanon timeline is that President Trump was sent from God, and he is being used to stop the deep state from accomplishing their goal.
They believe that Trump is working with God, and will give us a Jubilee, like is in the Bible, that debts will be forgiven, and we will live in peace once the warmongers from the deep state are eliminated.
I am hoping desperately that this is what is actually happening, and if it is, then we are further ahead on the time line than we have thought we were.

If Trump is actually working with the deep state, and lying to us, then we are posed for the ultimate world takeover, and we will probably all either end up dead, or in the FEMA camps. All of the terrible future of a world controlled by people like the Rockefeller’s and Rothschilds, is what our future would be comprised of.
So, my thought is that I am either going to be dead really soon, or Jesus is going to be here, the Millenium will start, and I am going to live at least another 50 years.

Here is a video that shows the Trump/Qanon timeline, and compares it to the Bible verses that explain the last days. There is also a book by this same person on amazon, and it is only 99 cents to buy it. I have read it, and tried to look at everything with an open mind, and pray about things as I was reading. It explains all of this in more depth.
Her ideas are a lot different than what we have been taught in Sunday School, but we know that the ones who control the world also control a lot of the religious things that we have learned.
Anyway, I watched it, and think that it is worth at least looking at, and see what you think.

I am not religious per sae- however when I was very young I remember Jevoah Witness people coming to our door to spread the word( fear I think)and to leave pamphlets.
One of the things they talked about in1958-1960 was how in the future we all would be having to wear face masks and respirators.
I felt scared then as a child..now I am dumbfounded at their look into the future.

I went to a Pentecostal church when I was little, @Gloria Mitchell , but I remember being taught just about the same thing, of a very bad time to come in the last days.
My mom told me about Christians being persecuted and beheaded, and here we are , with the terrorists killing and beheading people just because they are a Christian.
The good news is that this is NOT the end of the story, because the Bible also says that “the meek shall inherit the earth”, and the evil people who do these terrible deeds will be gone, wiped out when Jesus comes back with his army and takes over ruling the earth for the 1,000 years of peace.

I can understand your disbelief, @Lon Tanner , and what I hear you saying with this and other posts, is that you think it would be great if it happens, you just don’t think that it is going to happen because it is hard for you to believe.
The good news for you, is that when Jesus does come back, the Bible says that EVERY person will know and believe, and the people with a good heart will be happy and rejoice, and the ones with an evil heart will try to get away and hide themselves because they know that their time of terrorizing people has come to an end.

I think that you come to these threads because you really would like a reason to believe, but you haven’t found it yet. Even those of us who were raised with the Bible all of our lives have times when we lose our faith, so it is understandable that a person who didn’t have that kind of an experience in their life would have an even harder time understanding the Bible and believing it.

No Yvonne--I don't come on to ANY of the threads looking for reasons to believe ANYTHING, particularly religion. I am just interested and amazed at some of the things others say & believe. To Each His Own.

Sorry Yvonne, I tried to watch the video. But I lasted only a few minutes, as she didn't seem to be very coherent in making her point, which was unclear to me, as she jumped from one point to another.

What did it for me, was that she seemed to imply that the verse she quoted in 1 Thessalonians 4 was only a metaphor about people being asleep, that is, they were not bodily dead and asleep, but just asleep by not fully understanding the powers of geopolitical world we live in.

Clearly this is not what the bible says: 1 Thessalonians 4 is certainly describing and event in very vibrant and actual, and is NOT a metaphor:
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise."
That sounds very literal to me!
