That pic is so funny Louise! I don't wear dresses either anymore, I much prefer nice slacks and pretty blouses; jeans and tops and white cotton crop pants in summer.

I have never been to keen on flip flops myself. My feet always get so dirty and not to mention rocks or pebbles that manage to get in between. It's funny though I have one pair of sandles that I love but I don't wear them that much, go figure.

I hate flip flops and sandals with that thing between the great toe and the next toe. I just cannot stand the feel of it. I wear sandals all summer, but the kind without that toe thing. I don't know what it's called.

That's the only kind I like, once I got used to it everything else is uncomfortable. I can't wear a totally flat shoe or sandal though or too high, it has to be just right. I have a very high arch.

I've gotten use to wearing flats though when trying the ballerina shoes I felt like I was wearing house shoes. I like those with a not so pointed toe. When I look down at my feet the shoe looks deformed - not a pretty picture.

Understanding that we all live in different climates, I thought it would be interesting to share what we like/love to wear most whether at home or work or both. Do you dress down or dress up?

Since I've been at home I find myself loving to wear jeans and a flannel plaid shirt or one of my sweatshirts when it's cooler weather like now. In the summer with the exception of the flannel and sweats I still wear jeans because I'm working in my yard. When I feel like being 'pretty' I'll play dress up and everyone asks me "Where are you going all dressed up?"

That is a great idea, @Von Jones !
I am mostly a casual dresser, too. I don't care for jewelry, and seldom wear any, although I do love dangly earrings or even a necklace that has beads or fringe on it, like the ones that look like Indian beadwork. Actually, I like almost anything that has dangly beads or fringe. My favorite purse is suede leather with fringes, and I added pony beads onto the fringe.
I usually wear jeans and t-shirt, and in the wintertime, I wear sweatpants and sweatshirts to keep warm, plus they are comfy.
I like dark colored clothes, and avoid most light-colored ones, although sometimes I like bright colored t-shirts.
I used to wear cowboy boots or tennis shoes; but now it is hard for me to put shoes on , so I only wear sandals that I can easily slip my feet in and out of . When it is cold, I wear socks with the sandals.

Well, when I'm at home and not going anywhere I wear sweatpants during the winter, and crops or knee length shorts during the summer.

Today I'm wearing a navy blue pair of straight hem (hate those elastic bottom types) sweatpants.., and a Salmon Pink V neck woollen jumper .

Outdoors I wear skinny jeans most of the time tucked into knee high boots..or straight jeans with ankle boots.....and whatever kind of top is appropriate for the weather..however, I work for a living so every day I have to dress up, but rarely ever wear a skirt. Almost always Black, Navy, or camel coloured trousers .., a smart blouse or tunic style top...and a matching jacket and boots or shoes... I always wear jewellery to work..a gold or silver bracelet...a little gold or silver chain and sometimes earrings.

On days when I'm not working and I'm dressed more casually to go out..in jeans etc I wear costume jewellery...

At my second home in Spain where it's very hot..I wear sandals , shorts and dresses almost all of the time..

...except in the mall or in the house if the AC is on full blast then I have to put a cardigan or jumper on sometimes..

When I worked in an office I had to dress professionally. I did the whole nine yards, make-up, jewelry mostly Avon, fragrances, and blazers with skirts and pants, or a dress. I was always loved to wear vintage clothing that I had picked up at a consignment shop. During the winter months it was sweaters, turtlenecks under blazers, and ankle length wool skirts and boots.

Von as for perfume, I wear a few different ones......I don't like strong thick perfumes, nor do I like any perfume heavy on Musk...these are the ones I have currently which I wear on different days...

I use these 3 during the day

    Dior J'adore

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (which is really light but last all day perfect for work)..

    Calvin Klein Eternity

In the evening a little bit stronger but still light...and only a tiny bit needed I use

    Givenchy Organza

    L'instant De Guerlain

I don't purchase fragrances that much but I do have favorites that I like back then was Lancome's Beautiful. My mother wore Wings and White Shoulders which I liked. Some other favorites was Magie Noire, Karan, and Rain. I'm sure if I thought about it longer I would remember more. I've taken a liking to Lavender recently. A lady passed by me once and I asked what fragrance she was wearing she said it was an oil. It took me a while to find it.

I wouldn't buy so much fragrance if I was retired...but it rings the changes to have a few different to wear to work, and it took me a while to find ones that suit me best, and are light but last a long time..., and I do the same thing as you and ask people what they're wearing if I get a whiff of someone's really pretty perfume.

@Yvonne Smith. I like dangling earrings too. I didn't at first because I have seen where the ear lobe had been damaged and I was afraid of that happening to me.:( My mother would purchase ones that dangled and they complimented her face so nicely and I would always wonder how I would look. My curiosity won over.:D

How creative of you with adding the beads on the fringes for a personal touch. I'll have to remember that when I crochet my next scarves with fringes maybe they will sell better at the flea market this year.

I like suede. It's classy to me but I haven't found that 'perfect' suede item yet.

When I was working wearing dark colors were considered professional and I was stuck wearing dark colors for a very long time. When I started thrift shopping bright colors and prints just screamed at me, "Buy me, buy me.":) It was great! What a difference in how it made me feel.
