This video never fails to amaze me. I can remember my grandmother talking about the Ross sisters and how they could do "crazy things with their bodies". Until I saw this I could ever quite imagine what she was trying to say.

Allie, those girls are incredible ! ! I have never even heard of them before, and it is hard to imagine how they can be that flexible as well as strong enough to do all of the maneuvers that they are doing on that video.
Do you know what movie that is from ? I looks a little familiar; but I sure don't remember ever seeing the girls performing before.
However, if I was mainly interested in the story of the movie, I can see that i might have forgotten that part. I have never much cared for musicals; so it i even possible that i ran off to do something else while they were singing and missed the rest of the performance while getting a cup of coffee or some such thing.

Broadway Rhythm (1944). I'm pretty sure I've never seen the movie myself, though I'm pretty it is the one that my grandmother probably saw as I've so far been unable to find another thing that they were in. Besides, my grandmother's description included how they "could balance on their feet while hanging backwards and upside down from barn lofts..."; and how they could "make their feet look like they were on top of their heads and walk on their hands at the same time".:)

That last description is the one really got me. I could not picture that at all in my mind. It was years after hearing her say that before I saw this video, but I swear I can hear my grandmother's voice clear as day when I view it.

Now we have Cirque du Soleil (not that I've ever been to a show in person), but I'd imagine that in 1944 these girls made an extremely unusual act.

    Probably a bit racy, too.
