I love it and it is on sale. I ordered it, but cancelled it immediately. I really want to have it and it is on a great sale and all leather and I want to feel like a cowgirl again and and and .... but I don't need it!

Guess this is the kind of Western clothes you like, but am wondering what happened to the ladies Wrangler jeans and Ariat Roper boots? That's what my wife loves wearing. I had her get rid of her pointed boots when I met her and she gladly did. As for the Western skirt or dress, definitely not her.

I like to browse catalogues of clothes, I earmark pages of items I like - then leave it a couple of days and re-look
I end up with nothing I want, or maybe one item out of that host of earmarks :p
I had a skirt very similar to the one above Faye, in the 80s, it was suede material - nice

Actually, back in the early 80's, I bought/had a Daniel Boone/Davy Crockett type coat. That's when I was still wearing Levi jeans, pointed boots and basically knew nothing about rodeo (and what contestants wear).

Aah - I had a Davy Crockett hat and I hasten to add I was a child Faye, didn't wear it to go with the skirt :p

The problem is I would need the knee high boots and leather jacket.

The whole outfit is totally AWESOME , @Faye Fox and I love it, too ! Beth Gallagher is right, and I totally agree with her.....buy the outfit if you want it.
If you have someplace to wear it out to, then do that, and if not, put it on anyway, have a glass of wine and wear it at home. It is the enjoyment that counts at our age, not how much you will use it.
The boots and leather jacket are perfect with that skirt !
I love the smell and feel of leather , and I miss my days of having horses. I still have my black fringed leather jacket, and I love seeing it in the closet, even if I don’t wear it anywhere anymore.

@Cody Fousnaugh I have never been a Wrangler or Levi fan. I love jeans, but nowadays for a medium rise work jean, I wear straight leg Carhartts and love the Carhartt tops both long and short sleeve. For general everyday wear, I wear the AE brand very high rise jeans that fit snug at the waist and have a bit of relax in the thighs with taper legs with bottoms that fit inside boots. The vintage style ladies high waist riding jean. I love skirts as they are nice for dress up. When I lived in the mountains, I tanned my own hides and made my own buckskin skirt, tops, and pants. Also made knee high moccasins. I prefer the snub toe boots with a 2 to 2 1/2" heel. This is my favorite style of jeans for everyday wear. The photo isn't of me obviously, the long hair is the dead give away. Ha ha ha! From age 60 to 65, I couldn't wear this style due to medication caused belly fat. Once I got my belly flat and waist back, I seldom wear a low or medium rise. I love the 11 1/2" rise for comfort. I have a long torso, so they work great for me.

    I don't see that as a "problem", Faye. I think it's definitely an "opportunity"......LOL.

I remember having a "Daisy Crockett" hat as a child. It looked like a Davy Crockett hat but was made of white (fake) fur instead. I recall being quite proud of it.

Thanks ladies! I love it too and it just caught my eye. First the skirt in a email from Sheplers, then I found the necessary jacket and boots and I could see myself in it. Only problem is even on sale it still all comes to $800. My finger is on the order button.... I should at least order it and try it on and sashay around the house, if it looks as good as I think, maybe over to Zek's.

I had one also, but it was made from real raccoon. My dad made me the cap to warn the others to stay out of the garden. He didn't get a good tan on it, so it started shedding (and stinking) and my mom made it disappear. She had magic powers that way.

I suppose there are ladies in the horse world circuits who wear western style clothing, but overall, Florida is too hot for lots of leather. Even most winters, I only end up wearing a coat a few days at most. I think it would look very nice on you though @Faye Fox . It matches your personality.

@Bess Barber well you already know how I would dress if I lived in Florida. ha ha ha! Lycra/spandex minimal coverage two piece outfits for everyday and for occasions requiring modesty, my shorty jean shorts and crop tank tops. Footwear would be sandals.
