My wife watches this program on PBS (Public Broadcasting System), about a group of Brits living on the Greek Isle of Corfu, set probably before WW-II (old cars seen, maybe no electric lighting. I watch it mainly for the scenery, which is spectacular. Turns out, there really was a Gerald Durell, who apparently appears in the program as a young man. It's story line is, IMO, a bit silly. We had no idea there was any basis of truth. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corfu Gerald Durell: See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Durrell Does anyone receive/watch this program? Frank
I really like the show. All the characters are great. Just realized last week there's a new season. I thought it ended.
H It would never have occurred to me that anyone in the western world wouldn't have known about Gerald Durrell.. ..not a pop at you Frank, I just automatically assumed that everyone had heard of Gerald Durrell. Incidentally, I don't like that show.... ...and I have been to Corfu several times..
