On YouTube there's a party that features Vladimir Putin singing the old Fats Domino tune "Blueberry Hill"! Hal
Now, ain't that a kick in the head! One of the world's most powerful leaders doing a classic Rhythm & Blues song from the 1950's, and his American accent is not bad either! Vladimir was 4 years old when Fats Domino recorded the song in 1956. Blueberry Hill was written and first performed in 1940. Hal
Katyusha is difficult, but I'll bet The Donald wouldn't have much trouble with the Russian folk song "Kalinka", which means "Snowy Raspberry". Go to YouTube and select "Flashmob Kalinka" in a Russian supermarket. A stockboy starts to sing it and is joined by others until the store Security Man breaks it up, then the Security Man starts it again by himself and is cheered! The last line of the chorus is simply "Kalinka Kalanka Kalanka Maya" Hal
Well, Beth...I think he's done a creditable job of learning the song by ear and playing the right keys on the Piano! How well can you play "Kalinka"? Hal
'tis true , he should... ..not saying he's any great singer, but he did a good job for a charity event...
Kind of reminds me of Bill Clinton playing his saxaphone. I can sing President Trump singing Frank Sinatra's song: "I Did It My Way."....
"Everything about it is appealing....." Her real name was Zimmerman, but she shortened it so as not to sound Jewish. Hal
I sing "Blueberry Hill" when I'm out picking my blueberries. I don't sing it nearly as well as Fats, though. Or even Putin. Well, to be honest, it sounds so bad it runs the birds away.
