    @Chrissy Cross
    Thank you for sharing that. I hate for it to seem like I'm prying; others' business I try to remain outside of.

    You have then basically been alone a long time now. In case of being deposed.......have you ever considered a room-mate? :oops:

    Yes, ive been alone for most of the last 14 years...did have a SO for a few years, he moved from Ohio to Fresno to live with me but it didn't work out and he moved back to Ohio.

    Then a year later he begged to come back and did for about a year but it wasn't meant to be.

    I'm too OCD to have a roommate:)

    It's not about enjoying it Chrissy. It's about making the most of a HEALTH PROBLEM. Health problems are the only reason for living in Assisted Living.

    Capping is not SHOUTING it's for emphasis. You are so sensitive.

    It's usually considered shouting.

    I shout because I must, to hear myself talk; my wife hates it! A discordant factor for us both!

    Yeah Lon, capping really is shouting as I learned some time ago. Since then, I use the bold or italics buttons to emphasize a word or even place quote marks before and after whatever it is I am trying to stress. Asterisks work well also.
    Shouting is normally okay if it has a positive connotation but most of the time it denotes a form of anger which has been the source of many confrontations on forums such as this one.

    That all said, I’m sure all of us would rather not think of where we will eventually live if or when we cannot take care of ourselves but it is a stark reality that we have to entertain.
    So....I’m glad you’re posting some of things you experience in your own situation because it does shed some light on the possibilities that might be presented to at least a few of us.

    @Lon, I enjoy using a smaller font size for emphasis.

    Ah, but regardless of things told to you, it remains for you to reveal your own position regarding resolution of the proposal! If you choose to........if you do not dispense with this as nonsense.........

    if it truly matters! ;)

    I, Like many people I always thought AL was for old sick folks and since moving here to my AL facility discovered that is not true. I met 53 year old Marty at breakfast this morning who has brain cancer and is recovering from surgery. Then there is Brian in the electric scooter who had a stroke at age 41 and is paralyzed from the waist down. Nancy at age 35 has Early Onset Dementia.
