When we lived in Oregon we loved going to Sweet Tomatoes which is also called Soup Plantation. They had a huge salad bar that was always fresh and packed with every possible option you can think of. They had a soup station that always had 3 choices. They had a pasta station with 3 choices as well. There was a small bread and potato station where you could get baked potatoes or fries and breads like a muffin or garlic bread. We paid about $6 ea and had great food. The closest one to us now is in Georgia which is about 750 miles so we won't be going anytime soon !
We have them and I used to go with my ex but haven't in 10 years. Yes, I liked it! Food was good and you could eat healthy.
I just looked them up because I have never heard of Sweet Tomatoes before, and your reports sound wonderful, Maggie and Chrissy . The closest one to us is in Atlanta, too, so we will not be going there for meals either. It looks like most of them are located in either Southern California, or in Florida, and just a few scattered elsewhere.
