The watchband makes a lot of difference , at least for me. Mine came with a silicone band, but it scraped my skin. Then I got a Milanese chain with a magnetic closure. It is totally adjustable to fit perfectly, The problem with that one was that the magnet sticks to other metal, so you can actually pick up a fork with your watchband.
Next, I got a velvety one with a Velcro closing, and so far, that is my favorite for being comfortable. Swimming has faded it out a bit, but other than that, I liked it the best of any of the bands I have tried. I wanted leather, but you can’t swim with that, so have not tried leather.
I also got one of the pretty elastic ones that looks like jewels, but it pinched my wrist.
I guess what I am saying with all this, is just try until you find a band that suits you best, if you have problems with the one that is on the watch.

Just to put things into a proper light Chrissy.
I have bought Yvonne a watch or two and her daughter has bought her a couple of quite nice watches and my dear wife was rarely seen with any of them on. For one reason or many, she refused to wear a watch......until now.
Other than throwing the thing on the charger, she is rarely seen without it planted firmly on her wrist!

This must be the band it came with...silicone? It's ok.

    It's light and that's what I need.

Of course I wear it fastened 2 notches from where my daughter did...she's very small boned with thin wrists.

I have become very intolerant of almost anything touching my body, exception is lightweight earrings and those only when I'm going somewhere...I used to wear lots of rings on different fingers, necklaces, bracelets, etc....no problem.

But for some reason when bra straps started bothering me...I quit wearing them and think that's when I quit other things.

If I would feel comfortable without panties, I'd go pantiless too...even though not tight...the band seems to bother me.

Maybe my skin has become super sensitive for some reason.

So...you will never see me in a tight t shirt....only wear clothes that you can't tell if I'm braless or not.

So, if I can tolerate the iwatch.....that's something!!

I think that , for me, the reason that this watch is different , is because it is so much more than just a watch. It is my communicator with the world, right on my wrist. It is my fitness tracker, it checks my heart rate, tells me what day and time it is, and even what the weather will be (assuming that I want to know that).
I can receive and even answer messages, and I don’t have to dig around in my purse to find my phone anymore. I know that there is an emergency button if I need help and can’t call, although with Siri, calling for help is pretty easy, anyway.
My new one will even call for help if it think that I have fallen, or passed out; so that is a good feature also, and once the app for doing the EKG is released, I can monitor my heart for that, too.
I love that it is so easy to change the band if I want a different look, and there are all kinds of different watch faces to play around with, including using any picture from my photo stream.
I have the sound shut off, so I never hear my phone ringing, it just shakes on my wrist when I have a call or an alert. This means I am alerted, but it never disturbs anyone else.
The Apple Watch does a lot more things that I don’t even use it for, but could , if I wanted to do that.

Yes....I agree and my main concern was wearing it....now that I don't seem to have a problem ....think I'm going to LOVE it.

Right now I'm just doing very basic things with it...need to study and learn all the functions....

It's slightly different than an iPad or iPhone in the sense that if you have an iPad, the iPhone was just a smaller version basically.

This does have similar features but some diffrent ways of finding and or doing things....just takes ome practice and
Some tutorials to make sure your getting all the benefits it offers.

I should be a pro by the time I get home....depends on my time here...how busy I am.

    Apple Watch?

Naaaahh, I don't use Childrens' watches.

If it does more than give me the correct time of day, then it has too much fluff.

This Half-Million-Volt Van de Graafff Generator is plenty of High Tech for me!

    Timex Forever!

Haha! Was playing chess with the 14 yr old.....I haven't played in awhile and when it was obvious I was losing, my watch alerted me saying something about how to lower my stress level. :)

Here is a pic of when we just started....I'm white!

I certainly would not expect you to choose such an avante-garde watch as an Apple Watch if you were not able to see or comprehend the value of such a watch, @Hal Pollner , especially since you seem to be under the delusion that it is somehow a child’s toy.
The reason that it is called an Apple Watch is because the manufacturer that makes this product is the Apple Corporation, which is one of the most prestigious companies in the world, and the Apple Watch is one of the most technically advanced and useful watches that a person can own.
It is probably the most preferred watch in the world right now, and one picture that I saw of President Trump looked like he might have been wearing an Apple Watch.

You have obviously made the best choice for yourself in declaring that Timex is the only watch for you, and I am glad that you are happy with it, just as those of us who DO like having an Apple Watch are happy with our choice.
