I can't recall in my lifetime there being such a plethora of continual bad and distressing news. If I didn't know better I'd think the END OF THE WORLD IS ARRIVING.

I don't know. What about the Watts Riots, the Prohibition Chicago killings. Murders, killings, riots and so forth have been going on for years and the earth is still revolving and people go on living their lives.

Unfortunately, we just hear more about all of this stuff today, compared to years upon years ago. That is the reason many, many people don't watch their local or national news anymore. It can get rather depressing.

That's not bizarre...it's just very very sad, especially for the families.

Think they will find negligence on the part of the limo company!

As far as the limo accident...……..again, would like to know exactly what happened. Negligence on the part of the limo company and more?

I don't know about "more" but that limo didn't pass inspection and the driver wasn't licensed to drive that size limo.....I read it was going 60mph down a steep hill....that's kind of fast for a long limo.

@Lon Tanner, the world has always been fraught with danger. There has always been bad, distressing news. It's just that we weren't bombarded with it 24 hours a day. I would suggest that you and all of us turn off the TV and computer news, watch an old good movie, watch the sun come up and forget the bad news for a while. We'll live longer and be happier.

I think it's just because we have so many news outlets with cable television, internet, etc...

    We are experiencing information overload.

Years ago all we had was a thirty-minute glimpse of our local news and another thirty-minute glimpse of the world news.

Yep, information overload! I blame it for some of my anxiety issues.

Every day there's some rare disease or some horrific freak accident happening...flesh eating bacteria, polio making a comeback in some states.

    People dying left and right...

Every time I look on FB there's some ad telling me the symptoms of some fatal disease....and then I relate them to my symptoms...I'm doomed!!!

Then, there may be a few like me, who watch ONE show daily. In my case, it's Wheel of Fortune. I like Pat Sajac. He's Polish, born and raised in Chicago, is loved by all, and has made a very comfortable living doing what he seems to really enjoy!

Okay, I’ve got some bad news for some and maybe on the flip side some good news for others.

News Flash! Midnight tonight will mark the end of the world as we know it!! At that same instance, another day will start and we can either screw it up or make it a good one but beware, at the stroke of midnight, that world we will know will also be gone and never to return.

    Time.........marches on!! :).
