Here's an article on places to earn money from home. I can't vouch for them myself, although I am familiar with a few of them.

I can likely find track down books or any other kind of info if you give me a better idea what I'm looking for. What sort of "tasks" and "certain information"?

You could always find stuff available only in South Africa, and sell it online:

Over the past few months, I haven't been doing very many YouGov surveys because I usually get the boring product or brand recognition surveys, while my wife gets a lot of political ones, but I am eligible for $45 in Amazon gift certificates. I'll try to remember to check in with them more often and cash in when it reaches $15 gift certificates. Between YouGov and Bing, I do okay in Amazon gift certificates. I am a few days away from four $5 gift certificates from Bing, and it hasn't been very long since I cashed in there. Besides earning points for searching, Bing has quizzes and several other things that can be done to earn points.

I gave up on YouGov for the same reason. It took so long for me to cash in for gift cards.

I get more than $100 a year from YouGov when I am doing every poll that is available to me. I just wish I had more interesting polls. My wife gets better polls than I do. I get so tired of the product stuff.

I received my AARP Bulletin for this month a few days ago and one of their articles mentioned these two online sites as legitimate work-from-home offers. They are FlexJobs.com and virtualvocations.com.

I just redeemed my YouGov points for two $50 Amazon.com gift cards. I don't know how long it was, but it has been a while since I have redeemed any.

I sort of felt like it was Christmas today, as I just redeemed a $50 gift card from YouGov and $90 in gift cards from Bing.

I'm thinking of switching browsers from Safari to Edge. I have tried Edge and I like it well enough, but I can't say that it's better than Safari, and I haven't used it enough to know if it's any worse than Safari. However, I can earn more points from Bing if I use Microsoft Edge. I spend most of my working hours doing searches on Bing so doing it with Edge would get me more bang.

YouGov confuses the living daylights out of me. I cannot seem to create a real profile. Just keep asking for my email and sending me verification codes. Is that all there is to it Ken?

That's a new thing they've implemented, and I've complained about. Rather than using a password, they send you a verification code each time. They will also email you whenever there is a survey for you so can just follow that link if you want, and not have to keep logging in to see if there are any new surveys.

Maybe Edge works better on a Mac because, to me, it looks pretty much like Safari and seems to work about as well, and that isn't something I can say about Chrome or Firefox.

I let YouGov send me emails and just follow the link to the survey. They do have an app, but it is more designed for a phone than an ipad because it works in portrait mode rather than landscape mode.
Since I never do those surveys on my phone, I don’t use the app at all.
It takes a while to get that $50 GC; but the surveys are interesting for the most part, and you never get disqualified like many survey companies do.

Another one that I also like and is a quicker payout is called Paid Viewpoint. Once you make a profile there and stay logged in, you can either check every day, or you can wait for emails.
Here is my referral code for Paid Viewpoint, that you can use if you want to.

I think women get the better surveys. 95% of the ones that I get are brand recognition surveys, yet my wife gets political ones. I quit doing them for a few months because of that, but they don't take long to do and the gift cards are nice.
