    Great photo!

I have a set of coin silver teaspoons that my great-grandmother had made for her hope chest from the silver coins that she earned picking hops one summer when she was a young girl.

No, but hop growing has become popular again in this area.

    re: haystacks picture

Patsy, I think that picture is from Romania, and fairly current. There used to be haystacks all over the place on farms here in the U.S., but I couldn't find a single picture. Our stacks were shaped a little different, shorter and fatter. I was fascinated by haystacks as a kid. lol

Country folks used to store sweet potatoes in hills. They would dig a shallow hole, put hay in the bottom, put a layer of sweet potatoes, more straw, more sweet potatoes until they made a hill. Then they would cover it with dirt. The sweet potatoes would keep all winter. They got sweeter and juicer as they stayed there. I tried to find a picture of one but couldn't find one. Apparently, nobody ever took one.

I was intrigued by the above, so looked it up
People go hiking to the Bothy which is quite picturesque then they find the stone cottage where they can stay for free
overnight, pretty basic - but better than a tent :)
