Good that explains everything you can not trust Google because they play jokes on you another word they lie. Or is the joke it is really there and they are not telling you the truth. Once they say that we told you a lie when do you trust them.

It's okay to lie on April Fools day....otherwise you can call everyone else a liar too. I'm not fond of google at all but
I like fairness wether it's my side or the other side.

    Bottom line...both sides lie.

Most people use Google as a search engine because it is the biggest. Is it giving fare and accurate results I have found personally that the results favor the MSM over the truth and that the alternative gets either left out or way down the list. What ever happened to the term fare and balanced?

Google is a business, and its business model is based upon the same used by Microsoft (and companies like it). The true product that M$ is selling is not its operating systems and software, but the users of its operating systems and software. Same for Google, the search engine is not the product....that would be the users of the search engine. Google routinely alters/censors search results:

There are literally pages of similar links, but I think five are representative. In short, not only does Google monetize its users, it also provides users with slanted search results, and cannot seem to decide whether it wants to be Robber Baron, Big Bro, Censor or Nannyite. Unfortunately, having tried all the others, Google still provides the best search results. You simply have to use the other search engines, after using Google (to fill in the holes).

I disagree. In my job, I search every day for pretty much every topic imaginable, with the goal of locating from five to fifteen of the most useful sites for each topic, and I have been doing this since 1998, when WebCrawler was one of the biggest search engines in the field, and I have been doing this as my primary job for about ten years now. Although I often check more than one search engine, my go-to search engine has been Bing for a few years now. With Google, I too often have to go to page ten of the results before I find the first really relevant site. I am happy to discuss the pros and cons of various search engines, but we that should probably be done in another thread, such as this one.

As for honest results, I would think there would be a market for an objective search engine but they all, including Bing, which is owned by Microsoft, eventually get more hung up in trying to frame people's opinions than in giving them the results they are looking for. As you point out, the business model has much to do with it as well, which is why results are based more on marketing than relevancy.

Have fun put in the search engine in any of these [how many children die from vaccination CDC] I don't think you will find the answer but you will find the opposite response. CDC have that information but it is so highly guarded and they are protected at the highest level.

Is all this nonsense not like trying to decide which neighbor may be the more truthful? If you wanna know an answer, ask the question of your neighbor, instead of an online provider bent on making money.

I moved the discussion about the qualities (or lack thereof) of the various search engines to a more appropriate thread, which can be found here, so that this thread can be reserved for a discussion of the honesty of Google.

On that topic, my opinion is that Google is more interested in persuading you of what they want to be the truth than in assisting you in finding what you are looking for.

If you have seen the video, you'll notice the WSJ has been kind to Google in this story. The video can be seen on Breitbart, who broke the store and aired the video.

Google built a prototype of a censored search engine for China. It links searches to telephone numbers, making it easier for the Chinese government to monitor online activity. It's known as Dragonfly. See The Intercept

I have always used Google almost exclusively as a search engine. After reading that leak from their meeting, I won't be using it in the future. I hope all conservatives everywhere will do the same.

I remember somebody saying to Google Donald Trump and see what the results are. I did. The first three results were CNN, Washington Post, and New York Times; all of which were slamming President Trump. So, it seems obvious that they are not honest or fair.
