My roommate brought me a coloring book with some colored pencils. She said, "I found this coloring book, it came in the newspaper the other day, look it over." I did; I am.

Way back there in the middle ages I used to do paint by the numbers. I couldn't draw, I couldn't paint, but paint by numbers thrilled me back then and I couild that.

This adult coloring book came in our local paper back on June 29th, The Norman Transcript. It is filled with ads from local businesses reminding of their services.

So far I have colored a huge sun flower set in Stained Glass. It is a beautiful rendition. Of course I can tell you how good it is and how really great I am because you can't see it or judge for yourselves and you know you must take what i say with a grain of salt. No, kidding aside, it's pretty good. Also did a framed in "Three Butterflies." The frame is ornate and requires a certain skill to showcase the butterflies. The framework is time consuming but the butterflies reqire some precision and skill and a steady hand. I give it the old eyeball and proclaim it,. "Not bad."
I have also colored a ladies hat with sunglasses, a chair, possibly a deck chair. A air of candles, and a large ball. Therse are, you know, so, so. Oner other thing I forgotto mention, a large theatre sign with the words,
    "Sooner Theatre." another, Ho hum.

I am currently working on a large Owl with-in a framework. Really just started it. Now none of this is really important. This is just one of the things that fill my days. Cheerio. See you later, alligator.

I was bought one of those colouring books as a gift a couple of years ago Bill...The pictures are very ornate, and tbh although I used to like to paint years ago.. it's not something I would have bought for myself. However I kept it, and thought it might come in handy when i retire and find myself with time to do it . I've been retired a year now, and I'm not the most patient person in the world so the book is still sitting in the cupboard untouched, but you've given me an idea..I may sit in the garden tomorrow, and start one... see how I get on.

I started it yesterday sitting in the garden... but the box of colouring pencils I had were pretty poor tbh @Bill Boggs , and I gave up half way through my first picture.. so I think I'll either have to search for better pencils or maybe paint...

I started on a very simple one yesterday..due mainly to the 'patience issue''...but very quickly I realised the pencils were not up to standard and abandoned the project half way through...

I haven't used a Windows machine in years but Mac comes with a Preview app that allows you to reduce the image size (and other things), and I am thinking Windows must have something similar. If you click on an image, it will probably be displayed in some program that may allow you to change image sizes.

You can resize in Windows, but you have to be rather computer savvy. Holly's suggestion of TinyPic works well and is far easier.
