A driver in Virginia Beach, Virginia was fined $100 for smoking in a vehicle with a child present in the car, under a law that was passed in 2016. -- WSET Channel 13
If it's against the law, it's against the law. Without a law I would never smoke when I had my kids or grandsons with me. Why have them smell like smoke? Plus it's not good for them.
I quit smoking when I adopted my son because I didn't want him picking up the habit from me, whether I smoked around him or not, but I am opposed to laws against smoking.
I didn't like the laws when I smoked but abided by them. You can still smoke, just where it doesn't affect others. Truth is there are no health benefits to smoking and I curse the day I started. Haven't smoked in 11 years but quit too late in life.
