I watch Gunsmoke frequently and never noticed that, Ike - I'll have to watch for it. Thanks for the heads-up!

I thought it was like, you have a sub, and you have an un-sub, like the old commercial for un-cola.

Also on "Gunsmoke", sometimes when they show a street scene, you'll see a white house with a second story window with an awning over it. If you watch old "Wyatt Earp" show reruns, you sometimes see the same house.

Lots of things "learned" from watching television...

Famous married folk always had twin beds. Desi & Lucy, for example. Maybe that's why there was/is so much divorce in Hollywood.... The folks don't sleep in the same bed.

Groups of bad guys are always stupid. If there are 9 bad guys and 1 good guy, 8 of the bad guys will stand back and wait for the good guy to take them out individually. If all 9 would attach the good guy at once....
Also, bad guys are terrible shots. They make their "living" killing people but can't take out one good guy with automatic weapons that never run out of ammo. The good guy using a single handgun can always win.

Sometimes the ultra-fast reading of possible side effects of an advertised drug takes longer than the actual advertisement for it.

Everyone's bedroom always has the bed made as if you could perform the military "quarter toss" on it. Nobody on television ever leaves their bed unmade.

The crook and one unmarked police car are the best drivers in the world. All other policemen are the worst drivers. They always run into each other. If I were a cop, I'd want an unmarked car. It's safer.

No matter what city I happen to be in, the female local news anchors can be really aged. However, the local lady weather folk are young and really good looking. This must be a result of the weather people being wrong so often, they find other lines of work before growing older. Local weather men, OTOH, span a quite wide age spectrum. Men, evidently, have no conscience about telling us to expect snow and the weather turns out being 70 degrees and sunny.

There is just so much to learn from television and the internet. Everything seen either place is 100% true.

    Welllllll ... yeah.

An "un-sub" is an "unknown subject", the TV cops' name for the bad guy they haven't attached a name or face to yet.

    ...

... but it could be a submarine with screen windows ...

I'll be sure to pull the other one next time. In the meanwhile, just wear a very think sock on one foot.

Gotta admit, I only watch the show, "American Pickers" because of Danielle. Frank's ok. Seems to be a no nonsense guy. Mike, on the other hand, talks too much. He just rattles on and on. Take, for example, when he makes a terrific find (in his mind). He'll hold up the rusty remains of some ancient motorcycle part, then try to convince we viewers that, "someone out there wants this piece. Someone will build a whole motorcycle around this very piece. I gotta have it" B S overload.
I would love it if mike stayed in the shop and frank and Danielle did all the picking.
