I just received a message from Bobert, Ina’s Grandson. He said that her memorial service will be on January 27, and if we want to write anything to be said at the service, he will read it.
We can either text the information or email him; so anyone who wants the phone or email, please PM me.
This is all I have heard since the last time I updated on here, so other than that I have no news.
@Babs Hunt , I do not know what will happen with Izzy, and it probably depends on where Bobert ends up living. If he has to move back home again, he might not be able to take Izzy. Possibly Patricia will keep him, but the last time I asked, Izzy was still at Ina’s house.

Thanks @Yvonne Smith I think a general message from SOC with our names would be nice, maybe someone or you could do the wording...

Perhaps, @Ken Anderson , as owner of the forum could write something that represented the forum as a whole ? It probably does not need to have everyone’s names on it, just needs to say that she was a much-loved person here by everyone who knew her. Otherwise , Ken has to decide what names go on it and what names do not.
We have our regular core group, but there are a lot of other members that post less often, and if we listed names, we might accidentally leave someone out.

Well we have a couple weeks to figure it out. It's just a suggestion and it's up to Bobert I guess to decide what would be the best way for him...

I'm sure it's going to be a very emotional and hard time for him anyway, the easier the better.

But, I'll go along with however it will be done.

We can still each write something personal and send it to Bobert, if we want to, Chrissy. But since not all of us are apt to do that, a message that was inclusive of everyone on the forum would be a nice gesture also.

Is he going to read the messages at the memorial?

Pretty much anyone here can do that, I think. I know I would certainly not want to name some people and not others because I don't necessarily know what the relationships are, or whether they'd even apply in such a case. I know I would miss people here who I don't often agree with. I can write something representing the forum as a whole, but anyone who wants to be personally noted - as some of you should - can write separate messages, I think. Particularly those of you who knew her personally. If there is a place to send flowers or something, I would do that on the part of the forum.

I will ask about the flowers. I know that they told me that it was pretty much just going to ba a family gathering at Ina’s house, but when I asked about sending anything to her house, Patricia didn’t want me to give the address out because of the family issues right now. Once she talks with everyone, she should know if I can give out Ina’s address or not, and if she okays that, then you could send flowers or a card from the forum.
If not, then I guess we just send an email to Ina’s grandson and he will read whatever we send to him at the memorial service.

@Ina I. Wonder you were so much more to all of us than just those few words in that Obituary and I hope your Memorial Service will be an expression of the wonderful, unique woman and friend you were to all those you loved and were loved by.

I pray your family can put aside their wants and honor your memory for the love and devotion you gave to each of them.

As far as I know, Holly, there is not going to be an actual funeral service (unless they have changed plans, which is possible), and what Ina’s grandson said was just the memorial service at the end of this month that I posted earlier.
However, since they didn’t find any kind of a will or instructions, and the whole family is apparently involved now, things could change. Anyway, it looks like we can post condolences on the website that has the obituary for her.

Tomorrow is Ina’s memorial service, so this is the last day to post condolences and tributes in time for the memorial service, although you can still go online and leave a message at the legacy website that I posted above.
If anyone needs her grandson’s email to send a memorial message, please PM me because I think it would not be good to just post it here on the forum.

I have already left a message on the legacy site, as well as sending an email to Bobert some weeks ago.., whether he chooses to read it out at the memorial is not as important to me as him knowing that his grandmother had people who thought much of her all around the world.. and if he's feeling alone, and bereft in losing her, it may make him also feel that there's more out in the big wide world for him too ...

Just a thought... I wonder if Ina was buried or cremated, .I hope she got her wishes met...she deserved that much, and I'm sure they will have placed her next to both her son and husband
