What brings you moments of Joy in your life. My Family. My morning cup of flavored coffee and a sweet treat. Listening to my favorite music. Growing in my faith and intimacy with my Creator and Savior. A hug. and so many other things that I will be sharing as days go by... How about you...what brings you JOY?
Perfect weather would be perfect - Spring all year ! Bird song Music Animals Hugs Memories (good ones)
Perfect and true Joy??. Well of course the joy of my life is my daughter who has made such a successful life for herself after I raised her as a divorced lone parent... but that is a given so apart from her... My dogs...well my daughters' dogs to be precise...my grandfurkids. They love me totally and unconditionally...and I love them back. they look at me with such trusting eyes, and they follow me everywhere I go, even to the toilet if I'd let them... but I adore those dogs, they are my joy. The second joy of my life is Music..without music, life would be very odd for me..and nowhere nearly as fun as music makes it. Thirdly...the joy of my life is the written word whether in book form or any other genre..I'm fascinated at the written word and have loved books since before I had a memory , lol ..and lastly but not least.... is the joy of my home in the sun in Southern Spain... there's nothing I love more than being able to go there and just enjoy not only the beautiful weather but the completely different culture and language and the scenery of which I never tire of exploring..
Yesterday's joy moment was when my 3 year old granddaughter said to me: "Granny, you used to live at our other house with us (the one in Texas) and I wish you lived with us in our new house too."
You're not weird, just living in the wrong area for what you want.........just like us. You get the heat, less the humidity and we get both.
I don't really know. Joy has not been a word in my vocabulary. I can't remember using the work except maybe at Christmas time singing carols ore something. I supposed I've looked at it as some word gone out of style. I like a good cup of coffee. I'm often pleased with a cup of tea. I'm proud of some of my grand kids. If I had to pick one thing that might come close to bring me joy and I'm not competely sure why, it might be music of a certain kind.
What brings me, and my wife, joy? If our boat is running good and the weather and tide is right to take it out. Going to a rodeo, that we can't do here, because there is none. Seeing Bull Elk, that we can't do here, because there is none. Being around friendly folks, that are not here, because of too much crime and high population. Having a good Mexican dinner, with a good margarita. Something we can do here. Going to local Range and target shooting, when the weather is good. AND, knowing that our health is descent, so we can do all of the above.
I try to find something everyday that brings some 'joy'. Might be some quiet time early morning or a good book late at night. Guess it's looking for the small surpises life and nature throw our way.
