    I see my teenage grandson and his peers use that a lot on twitter but it seems more like they are using it to mean they laughed at something so hard, they cried.

    :oops:Emoji? I saw a commercial about emoji and pizza, did you see it too? I liked it for it was funny. New words crop up here and there all the time and it's nice that one of my new favorite words emoji was chosen for the Word of the Year award! I like to find new words and learn them so I can increase my vocabulary all the time. Words are so much fun and I like to play word games at pch.com and hopefully win money and prizes! Words even have a song by the Bee Gees:

    The Emoji is quite popular these days so I guess it shouldn't come as a big surprise that it was made the word of the year. I know it's the said joyful one that got the honor, but I tend to think about this going to the word Emoji itself. After all, it would seem that the Emoji is now being used in place of words in text as someone else just mentioned, apparently just using an Emoji these days means you can order a pizza.
