Happy Anniversary to you and your wife @Sheldon Scott. Hope you enjoy your meal together. :0

I smothered sirloin pork chops yesterday with sides of a mixture of kale and spinach, baked sweet potato patties, and pinto beans with jalapeno and bacon bits.

Yesterday I made bacon wrapped shrimp for my Honey then baked it in the oven with some Honeyaki marinated Tilapia with sides of cheesy mashed potatoes and garlic bacon brussel sprouts. :)

Today we are going to the Movies to see Geostorm...and then to eat at Pizza Village which is our favorite eating out Pizza place. :)

Babs, that bacon wrapped shrimp sure sounds good. Do you use breaded shrimp? That's all we have in the freezer.

No I use regular shrimp. After I peel them I use Old Bay seasoning on them, let that seasoning soak in for a few hours, then cut pieces of raw bacon and wrap them around the middle of the shrimp and lay them on a cookie sheet covered with foil. The shrimp I used were large, so I cooked them for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees in the oven.

You could try the bacon on breaded shrimp @Sheldon Scott although I never have. If you do...let me know how they came out. :)

Friday's at our home has pretty much become "clean out the fridge" day. Whatever encores we have from the week left in our refrigerator we fill our plates with and finish off. Then the cooking cycle starts all over again. :)

Today I'm cooking dried navy beans and adding chicken sausage and seasoned cut up boneless chicken breasts to them. Sides will be cole slaw and corn bread muffins.

My youngest daughter and I are swapping some meals during the week now. She loves my cooked navy beans so she will be picking up "their" supper from me later this afternoon after she picks up our youngest grandkids from Mother's Day Out. :)

When we get together for Thanksgiving my daughters and I are going to talk about starting the New Year swapping week days meals and see what we can come up with. Besides having some surprise meals and not having to cook everyday...it's a way to spend a little time with each other during busy weeks too.

Weather here has been hot, but today it is a bit nippy. So Made another version of my homemade veggie soup, and chocolate cake. Trying to decide on French Bread with garlic, or the ole standby cornbread. :)
