I posted it because some of the cooking units used in Australia and the U.S. and Great Britain are archaic, regional and misunderstood generally. I thought it would be a handy reference for those who do cook. I'm not a cook myself, but I'm a good eater and appreciator.
@Ted Richards Nice! And, I do cook as well as eat, more the latter, though. Have had a bit of trouble getting my wife to follow the Metric system, it's "foreign" to her, and trying to dismiss her insistence that "A pint's a pound, the world 'round"! Frank
I'm certainly not a cook unless you can call boiling eggs cooking! I found this site and bookmarked when my wife was trying to work out conversions from an Australian cookbook.
@Ted Richards Ha! What might I ask is a "nutritional overachiever"? I have always understood "nutrition" to be the study of human food consumption practices, but nowadays suspect that in view of the "obesity epidemic", it means something a bit different. Frank
