So make sure you watch this new winner ; Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) in a coastal town in Florida. Frank's plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the seven-year-old's mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank's formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary. Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary's landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary's teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well. A must for all discerning Seniors-Only film lovers ...
Ok, I watched it. Give it 4 stars. The story was good but I didn't like the characters all that much except for Octavia Spencer who is always good in whatever role she's in. I wasn't sure which side I was rooting for....the Grandma or the uncle. Tell me what you thought @Jeff Tracy. Maybe I'm just weird.
I was all for Mary ... everyone else had their own selfish agendas apart from Fred ... 6 out of 10 but still shines in todays crop ...
Sometimes when others annoy us it is because they are similar to ourselves. So , you must have been a child genius with too much energy ?
