That's amazing! I watch Tiny Home builders on TV and really enjoy watching some of the innovative solutions the come up with. I'm not interested in buying one since I'm perfectly happy with the home I have but it's certainly an attractive option for others.
I remember reading somewhere, that old timey Sears sold some really nice sized Victorian style home kits for people that could afford to have them shipped by railroad, and then erected on their land. Many times the cost of shipping was more than the cost of the house. I’m also a Tiny House viewer. I became fascinated by very compact multifunction spaces when I was a child visiting my uncle’s shrimping vessel. I felt like I was a little girl in a tiny home.
I remember reading that you could buy house kits years ago. I'm still obsessed with the tiny house movement. I don't know though if putting these places in locations is as easy as the shows make it seem. I think there are too many zoning restrictions.
Since many are on wheels it might be easier to locate them in mobile home or RV parks. Each state, etc. has their own rules and regulations on these tiny houses from what I've read. I like the tiny houses too, but would only consider living in one if it was me living in it. My husband and I are so opposite in so many things like me going to bed early, him going to bed late, etc. that we would have to have at least two separate rooms to do "our thing" in. And definitely a porch or covered patio would have to be part of that tiny house too.
