I was so hoping this was not true. Yesterday, in our news was a report about a child three to five years of age, that was found dead on the beach in Galveston, Texas. I thought, “How sad for the family”. But, so far no one has reported a missing child. So far this poor little boy has no parents to mourn him. If the parents can’t be found, his small body will not be buried for a long time, and will become the city of Galveston’s responsibility.

How can this be? This was a small little boy, and if someone doesn’t claim him, he will end up being call a John Doe. How can someone not notice their child is missing?

Generally, I never wish ill on anyone, but unless the parents are hurt and unconscious, I hope that if or when the authorities catch up to them they throw the preverbal book at them. There is no excuse that can explain why such a thing has happened to this or any child.

Such a sad story! It's very hard to believe he has nobody that's missing him but all I can think of is maybe his family is gone. :(

In any case it's a sad story...if someone does come forward eventually it's not to claim a found living child but a dead one.

How very, very sad. I hope it was not a child from immigrants coming in on a boat that capsized or the child fell overboard on. Since you didn't put a link to the article @Ina I. Wonder this is the first thoughts that come to my mind.

@Babs Hunt, I sorry, but this tech zombie hasn’t learned where to find online news links, much less post them.

The child was reported as white, but in today’s world that doesn’t mean a lot.

Would anyone care to me lesson on how to find online news so that I might be able to do a better job of reporting what I see on TV? Plus I need to know how to capture a link, and then repost it.

    HELP!!!!! :(

I did find the story, all I did was type in the info on Google and a few news sites popped up. I didn't copy the link then but I'll go back and find it now.

Thank you @Chrissy Cross, that was the story I was speaking of.

The only thing it didn’t mention was that the child was white. There is even the possibility that the child was kidnapped from another state, and dumped here. Whatever the real circumstances, it is still a tragedy.

I hope it doesn’t take the police long to figure it all out. The child should at least be buried with his own name, and not as just another unknown child in potter’s field.

Hopefully they find out who the child is and what happened.

It does not look good for the parents being innocent in this child's death if they are not even coming forth to say this is their child. :(

And yet maybe this child is not even from Galveston. Still there is the missing child Hotline and Registry which should have a child as young as this one listed. It just doesn't make sense.

This is really strange Gloria...and I hate the thought that no one is coming forth for this child.

It's sad but it's not surprising. It's hard for us who love children to imagine that there are people in this world who could care less but there are.
