I am right now witnessing on live tv the stupidity of people ! Walking about in the area where the ocean water floor was sucked out by the storm....which will come back.

It looks like Irma is almost out of Florida, and heading through the bottom part of Georgia and then up through Alabama, and on into Tennessee.
We have tropical storm warnings in effect through tomorrow, and the radar shows the edges of the storm are almost here. We should start getting some rain in a few hours, and then storms (squalls the weather channel says) for the rest of the afternoon.
We don't expect it to be much more than a rain storm here, no they said tornadoes are unlikely, although one never knows for sure about that until it happens.
In any case, I have a pot of beans in the crockpot for our meal, so even if it did get bad enough that we lose power, we stilll have food prepared ahead of time.
The little dogs are going to have to get all. Of their outside running around done this morning; because i know they will not want to be outside once the storm hits.

Irma had been downgraded to a tropical storm before I went to bed last night (this morning).

As a person who watch the weather probably more than most. When I sailed we would download the weather fax from NOAA 4 times a day and study it and when hurricane season came ran for shelter somewhere. When I finally gave up sailing and settled down on an island right in the tracks of a lot of hurricanes. The conspiracies about which makes hurricanes or we are having more than normal. What I do know is I have watched the NOAA everyday during hurricane season for the last 17 years in the DR and 6 years sailing and see nothing out of the ordinary. Ten years ago I would see three hurricanes in the Atlantic one after another in September and no one said someone is doing this, yes it is the season for hurricanes and that is all it is. We have generated so much distrust in what the news media stories are that someone with a good conspiracy theory get traction. It has got to a point that some people think there is a conspiracy about everything to me it is a normal hurricane season.

I really think Jose is going to make a right oblique and turn away from the US coast. I have willed it so.
