I find that man so irritating that I can only listen to a minute or two of his voice. It's like listening to fingernails scraping on a blackboard. He may or may not have some valid points but why can't he talk without all the exaggerated expressions?
As I have stated before, the odds of me NOT being here would have gone up if we hadn't dropped 'the Bomb'. My Dad would have continued to fight all the way to the Main Islands and he had already done enough, (IMHO). This is probably too personal a reason, but it's my feeling just the same. Sometimes, overwheming force must be used to end a conflict. No doubt this saved countless Allied lives.
The Russians were all ready on Japanese soil and their were surrendering to them. The US wanted to have them surrender to them so they could get Japan and South Korea.
That's funny, Shirley. That's what makes him watchable and funny, the exaggeration of voice and expression,
I agree with @Tim Burr , dropping the bomb was the right thing to do. The attack on Pearl Harbor was unnecessary.
