I get a kick out of him and he's really the only one I can stand to listen to for more than a few minutes. :)

An outline of what he says is included in text here, but there is also a video, which is about an hour long, for those of you who may wish to delve more deeply.

I watched it too. Now one of you, Martin tell me what it says First, let me tell you what I took away from the video. It doesn't matter your politics, there is a shadow government that really controls everything Washington politics is really play-doo. The real actions is behind the scenes, people who look after the money, he's referring to as deep state. Now tell me what he said, pleas e.

That's pretty much it. If it is true, and I believe that it is, at least to a large extent, the shadow government would control the overall direction of government. Elected officials and bureaucrats would still play a part in governing anything that isn't contrary to the agenda of the shadow government, so it's not entirely true that there's no point in participating in the electoral process. However, the shadow government has a secret agenda and the power to override anything that would deflect the enactment of this agenda.

At the same time, we have a legal system of government that gives power to the president, congress and the supreme court, so there is also the hope that someone or, more likely, a group of someones, would come along and try to wrest control from the shadow government. I tend to believe this, but I am not saying that I do entirely, because if I could know about it, then it wouldn't be a secret. When a new president is elected, he is told just what he can or cannot do, and what his options are. Those who believe in this tend to believe that John and Robert Kennedy were assassinated because they were aware of the shadow government, and did not intend to play along with it, and perhaps that the huge opposition to Donald Trump was because he had not committed to going along with the agenda of the shadow government, and those who control it.

Such theories often hold that Ronald Reagan initially did not intend to play along with the shadow government, which is why he received so much opposition from the establishment Republicans during the primary, and that he gained their support only after he agreed to surround himself with members of the Council on Foreign Relations, who are believed to be affiliated with the shadow government, and it is true that pretty much everyone in high positions of his administration were members. One of his staff members (Pat Buchanan, I think) said that Reagan made the speeches, while Bush (his VP) made the decisions.

As with most such conspiracies, I do believe that a conspiracy exists, but I haven't necessarily decided which, if any, of the theories around it are true. Very likely, everyone is taking what information they can get and then adding whatever they need to add to it in order to get it to make sense, which is the substance of most conspiracy theories.

Well, Sir, why I read in the first place and listened to the tape (I"ve heard this tape before) is because I had twice before read articles about a shadow government. Once and first, shortly after Eisenhower issued his warning about the Military and Industrial Complex and again either after Reagan or Nixon and I can't remember which or when and I have no references, I just remembered so, I was interested. I must confess I have always boohooed conspiracy theories but this one keeps cropping up and my BIL who was a senior executive in the brewing industry and on the top notch shelve so fas as understanding business and thinking about business and money, used to refer occasionally to the people who control our money world wide. He'd say, something like, doesn't matter what you think or I think or what congress does, what will happen is what the money controllers want, they'll see that it happens. Now I know this doesn't make much sense, the way I'm saying it, but I've heard enough references, I'm thinking maybe there is a shadow government that guides 'general policy.'

I think it makes perfect sense, @Bill Boggs. There is also a theory that our MidEast wars are really over the World Bank, and that the countries whose regimes we have been changing had refused to join the World Bank, so that would fit.
