Lots of F-bombs. This is insanity. I stumbled on this somehow on You Tube. Happened more than a month ago. These people need to look in the mirror and see who has become the monster. Abuse, humiliation, hysteria. Mob mentality on display. Evergreen State College is in Olympia Washington

Western Washington is a pretty liberal part of the state, where eastern Washington is more conservative, along with northern Idaho. I partially agree with @Gary Ridenour that colleges are training camps; but I don't think that they are learning guerilla warfare, just rioting.
I believe that we might be heading for an economic crash, one that has been coming for some time now. We have large companies going bankrupt, or just closing their doors, and these are established companies that have been solid in business for many years in some cases.
If we do have a crash in the economy, even a partial one, there will be all kinds of riots and looting, and these college students are certainly becoming proficient in doing that nowdays.
If we have a complete collapse and people have to survive on their own, these rioters will have no clue about how to do that beyond the looting and violence, whereas, someone trained in guerilla warfare is also trained in survival.

In all my years of living...not one person I have ever known ...even just accquantices...were ever Protesters for anything or anybody. Where do these people come from? Aside from a few...what has protesting ever accomplished ? Have any of you ever protested something...did it change anything?

@Gloria Mitchell My mother who was a survivor of war protested the Vietnam war. I don't know what she did. I was too young. But she belonged to a group in Santa Cruz. I'm not sure, but I think they did things more quietly. Perhaps with letter writing etc, but I'm still not sure.

@Yvonne Smith I must have watched about 10 videos of this fiasco and then more response videos. I watched a number of response videos from black people and not one was in alignment with these nuts. One guy called it an "abomination of a school." I've always been liberal but this isn't liberalism. It's psychosis and delusions. I actually lived in Olympia Wa. for about 7 years and got my paltry associates in nursing from the community college there. Evergreen had a reputation even then (early 90's) but it just needs to be closed down.

How will these people ever accomplish anything. One showed an entitled punk demanding that they not be expected to turn in homework since they had no time to do it. They were too busy with protests. All while pizza boxes are visible and they are verbally abusing and mocking the school president who let them get by with it most unfortunately.

I think that a lot of these protests are orchestrated , just like the ones so many years ago when they had all of the riots. College age students are still very impressionable, and once they have some leaders to follow, they will do pretty much what everyone else does. It used to be that most protests were not escalated into riots, ; but that seems to be becoming the normal thing now, not just here but in other countries as well.
I have read that some of the protesters were hired from a Craigslist ad for some of the riots that happened in Ferguson, and I think that might be true with these protestors as well.
The young generation already thinks that they are entitled to whatever they want more than generations before them; so acting out to get it, seems to follow naturally for them.

Today, there is no doubt that protests are orchestrated and paid for by big-money interests, including paid organizers and other paid people. Fifty years ago, while there were no doubt some outside interests involved in the Vietnam War protests, there was a lot more of the grass roots involved in them.

Vietnam War protests were not wholly unplanned, of course. It's not as if thousands of people spontaneously and independently decided to make a sign and show up at a protest site. But they were planned mostly by people who weren't being paid to do so. Oh, there were those who hoped that their involvement would catapult them into a career or a book deal, and many succeeded. Regular people often spotted them for phonies, but that didn't keep the media from turning them into the rock stars of the anti-war movement.

I had always heard about hired protesters, but never believed it actually happened. Makes sense as to why I never knew any protesters..and glad I don't.

I think its for real. remember the riots at Ferguson MO in 2015??

ACORN's successor group in Missouri has been paying protesters $5,000 a month to generate civil unrest in Ferguson, the troubled St. Louis suburb where black youth Michael Brown was killed by a white police officer last August.

We know this because some of the protesters haven't been paid and, now, they are demanding what they were promised. They held a sit-in at the offices of Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE) and posted a demand letter online.

    this is just one example

@Gary Ridenour, I do think there were paid protestors. Probably more than people would imagine. I wonder if they were the more violent ones. I wouldn't know.

One thing that has bothered me about the BLM movement and the founders etc. People are not stupid. I have heard of "food deserts" in poor areas where regular grocery stores don't exist. People may not have access to more healthy foods in their immediate area. Why doesn't a group, collection or movement of people get together and open a small store in one of these areas. Even a pop up fruit, vegetable market twice a week or something. This protesting crap costs money! Why not money towards the community. Am I too simple in my thoughts here. Again, people are not dumb. People can come up with something better can't they?

Kitty the money comes from George Soros's deep pockets who pass it on to BLM who hire these thugs. so money is no issue. its to create social upheaval here. the US is his main target now. he want's globalization at all cost. since Clinton lost he's really stepping up the fight to get rid of Trump. the sooner our way of life is destroyed the better. im already hearing talk about an upcoming civil war. god forbid !! you have to remember. there are people and organizations out there that hate us.
in a nutshell globalization would be the total destruction of our economy. we would become part of a global economy. also one police force, military and the free flow of people and goods between countries. who cares if they're good or bad. and the democrats totally approve of it. to me they are more dangerous than terrorist. the real home grown terrorists

I have in the past felt like protesting some decision made by city council, county commissioners, or about something I read in the papers. When I could I have protested. My protests usually take the form of a letter to the editor in our local rag. I've had several published and I have felt satisfied that my protest was heard whether anyone agreed with me or not. But then this is my style.
