@Lon Tanner , maybe your not finding the threads that have the "meat" to feed your inquiring mind. Stick around, but look a little deeper. That's the thing about this place, if you need silly, we can do silly. If you need subjects with grit, we got that too. Maybe we haven't been pulling you leg enough, Hmmmmm? I've tried a couple of times, but guess I wasn't doing it correctly. Hmmmmm?
Too civilized. Hmmm, could mean laid back, reluctant to lash out, if necessary, perhaps lack of profanity? I could certainly end that trend! Growing up, I think I learned all those naughty words from the neighbors who despised "that little bast@56!" Frank
@Lon Tanner is a good guy, and once he gets his cochlear ear implant he won't even be on forums. He'll be out talking to real people! . That's my guess anyway...except to tell us how his implant is working. He lives in a lovely senior community...if I lived there I'd be out by the pool or going to all the social events.
This is all so very true. This forum is nice, but relaxing by a pool and going to social events is nicer.
Yep @Cody Fousnaugh ...I'm counting the days til my daughter gets back from Europe and then I'm heading there. If nothing else it's always 25-30 degrees cooler.
Civil is good but not necessarily a perquisite assigned or prerequisite required. Inspiring, interesting, controversial or..."absorbing, engrossing, fascinating, riveting, gripping, compelling, compulsive, captivating, engaging, enthralling", can be a better subject for a post. Even offensive, (to some), can be a pertinent post. Yet when someone is openly bored they can be part of 'the problem' not the solution. Kalvin said that.
I hate 'nice'. it yes and prodigiously with a soupçon of honey. I found it very orderly so I started by ingesting the 'A's'
