It's been a terrible week so far. I had to call 911 Friday afternoon. Ambulance took Brooke to Johnson County Hospital. From there she got a helicopter ride to Mercy Hospitall in Fort Smith. They put in a pacemaker yesterday. I'll pick up one of our daughters at the airport today and then to the hospital where hopefully Brooke will get to come home today

Oh my goodness Sheldon! Scary but sounds like things are under control now. My dad lived almost 30 more years after he got a pacemaker at age 65.

Also things are more advanced now....sending good wishes and healing.

Wow, that must have been a scary episode for you to go through, @Sheldon Scott , and I am glad that your wife is doing better. I am sure that she is ready to come home from the hospital by now, too. It seems like they find some reason to wake you up ever hour or two, and you never get a really good rest there.
I know you mention before that you might have to sell your property and move into town because it was getting to be too hard for the two of you to keep up with all of the work out there. Is this going to make it more likely that you will have to move into town and an apartment somewhere ?
I agree that the pacemaker should be a help, and we have @Denise Happyfeet here who has had a pacemaker for quite a while now. She probably knows more about them than anyone else here on the forum, and I know that she has had some ups and downs with hers, but nothing serious as far as I know.
Prayers for you and Brooke !

That must have been really frightening for both of y'all @Sheldon Scott, so sorry y'all had to go through this. I pray Brooke will do well with her pacemaker and have no problems adjusting to life with it. Prayers going up for all of you as you as you all adjust to this change in your lives.

Prayers too sent your way. My Mom to had a pacemaker put in her. She fainted, went to her chair to steady herself. I came out of my to see blood on her forehead. It was so sudden, I called 911 right away. The emergency team came with the firefighters first on the scene. My Mom blacked out again while the emergency team was getting ready to transport her and told me she was out for 8 seconds. They rushed her to Kaiser Hospital. Mom needed a pacemaker right away and luckily she is covered for it, so she felt relieved. It was such an unexpected situation you don't have time to think. My Mom won't let any cellphones near her for it interferes with the pacemaker. It's been 4 years now that she has her pacemaker. She keeps on going, but is tired quickly because of her AFIB. We pray a lot. Every time I see that commercial of Entresto, with the song The Sun Will Come Up...Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow from Annie I get tears in my eyes.

Hey Sheldon, my sympathies go out to you. I was on the reverse side of that when I had open heart surgery several months ago. My wife was panic mode for a long time. I just thought it wasn't that serious of course I would be ok! I have since met many people with pace makers and they are fine. I am sure you Brooke will be as well!
