on my walk today..it's lovely although it wreaks havoc on my allergies I'd continue to suffer rather than not see them each year I'm sure missing the Magnolias of the South?? Hint, hint?? Com'on @Yvonne Smith, @Babs Hunt, @Ina I. Wonder or anyone else with some gorgeous nature around them
Those are beautiful pictures, and beautiful flowers as well, @Denise Happyfeet ! We don't have any magnolias blossoming here as of yet; but maybe further south, where Babs and Ina are at they might be in bloom already. The pink tulip tree, which is a kind of magnolia has already bloomed though, and it will probably not be too much longer before the big magnolias bloom. We do not have any; but I love seeing and smelling them when they bloom.
If you get any shots, I would love to see them Yvonne! I think that tree is either apple-blossom or cherry?? Someone might know. I thought it was oriental plum at first but there is one of those down further on the street
It is hard to tell from the picture, but it looks more like cherry than apple to me, Denise. Apple blossoms are white, and cherry blossoms are light pink, plum is usually a darker pink. The bark looks more like cherry bark, too. I haven't been out taking any pictures of the trees in bloom; but when the magnolias come in bloom, I will try to get some pictures for you. I know that @Von Jones loves magnolias, too, and maybe she will have some pictures she can share.
These are kind of pinkie @Yvonne Smith so I think Cherry Also, I used to have a Plum and the blossoms grow more off the main branches(best I can describe it) I used to wait for that to bloom and it seemed so "short-lived" but truly gorgeous This is from Pinterest and my tree looked like this, but much lighter pink
I have some cherry blossom trees right outside of my house on the verge...they're starting to die off now though... very pretty they are @Denise Happyfeet I know @Patsy Faye wanted especially to see these pictures so here they are This week I bought some plastic planters to hang on one of the fences in my back garden...I bought some plants this morning (violas , pansies and some other spring flowers) and potted them into the planters...I think they look very pretty...so I'll buy some more of those hanging planters I think. I also trimmed back the shrubs and hedges, and the Ivy which I have growing all around my brick shed... These photos were taken about 1/2 an hour ago.. it's really beginning to look like spring..
It sure is ! Makes such a difference to your space and I love the little post box for the birdies The feeders - the birdies ....................such joy to behold
Thanks @Patsy Faye , my garden is quite large so there's all different areas with different plants, mature trees and shrubs... I'll post more pictures when the spring is in full bloom...
Beautiful pictures, @Denise Happyfeet and @Holly Saunders . The blossoms on my cherry tree are white. This is from last year. They are just beginning to open this year. They must come in more than one color. My dogwood blooms are white.
They're absolutely beautiful @Shirley Martin ..our cherry trees were deep pink but they've gone all brown now..
I got behind, then confused, LOL!! Wanted to make sure I commented on these gorgeous, Dogwoods, Wowee Wow!! Thanks all of you and looking forward to more pic
