Here's a chart that shows the political leanings of various professions. I don't know how accurate it is but it doesn't seem to have a discernible bias.
The professionals I know are a mixed bag...pharmacists I know lean right, my BIL a doctor leans left...all 4 dentists in my family lean right, so does the oral surgeon as do 3 hygienists in the family. My university professor brother leans very left, lol. And so does his nurse wife, my sister in law.
The chart shows dentists leaning strongly right. The last two dentists I've seen were Republicans, too.
Then it's right on, lol. Except for my son in law who leans strongly right, my daughter, son and daughter in law are more moderate but still conservatives. My son in law will start talking pro trump wherever he is....on Black Friday he had to come with us to Target because they were buying iPhone 7s, so we were in a long line with him. Behind him were 2-3 young hispanics, he talked their ear off for 2-3 hours about Trump....my daughter and I wanted to crawl in a hole, lol. He's lucky he didn't get shot.
