No, of course not. I said I thought it was a mistake. It was a tactical error.

I can agree with that since that man flipped back and forth during the election cycle...sitting on the fence most times.

I've never seen a president do so much in such a short time, maybe he should slow down. I know he wants to prove that he can and will do what he said but they're all against him.

Stupid distractions like Nordstrom pulling Ivankas line for their store, players from the Patriots not going to the whitehouse...all this negativity is making me sick. And these are always the headlines.

I think he will slow down now, especially since I think he is seeing he is not getting good council on some things. He will be more careful, but it will still take time to find out who needs to go and who should stay.

What worries me is that so many of the "powers that be" who don't want to be the "powers that were" are causing Trump as many problems as they can inside and outside the White House. Obama was a puppet so although it seemed he got no where sometimes, he was really getting exactly where those "in charge" wanted him to get. Trump is not a puppet and the elite and many others don't want him to succeed at all in any way, shape, or form. And they will do whatever it takes to stop him.

I agree with Trump - just think he handled it wrong
He's rushing things through, fine - but some things need a little more time and judgement on how best
    to handle it

Such is the conundrum that is facing the American public.
It would seem that the court system including the Supreme Court has re-identified themselves as law makers rather than interpreters of laws that have already been constitutionally approved.

Whether in the case of immigration or even which branch picks up the tab for the first lady's tea and pastry party, the courts cannot supercede the voice of the president but CAN pass it's rulings back to congress for a re-boot so to speak.
Even in the matter of Roe versus Wade, the supreme court could only rule on the petition on it's constitutionality but could not put the matter of abortion into law. That took congress and an approval of the president to finalize the law after the courts made their suggestions.
Now, on the flip side, if the court system says that the president is not acting according to the rule of law as defined by the constitution then a stay of action can be instituted but again, a revision of the original proposition by congress should ensue.

Sadly, the citizenry of the United States is so uneducated as to now believe that the ultimate powers within our political system happen to fall onto the court systems' backs and are willing to lay back and allow them to have that much power. Equally as sad but not very surprising is the fact that as long as the American people are willing to STAY uneducated, the political system is so wired that it will take advantage of that ignorance as far as they can.

Your dog may know it's not right to poop in the living room but if you allow it to happen, the dog will take advantage of it time and again, and again.

The appeals court was asking questions about how many terrorist events have been perpetuated by people from the countries involved, and I'm thinking -- that's not their business. Their job, if they had any place in it at all, was to rule on the constitutionality of the order, not on its efficacy.

    Very true @Ken Anderson.
Obama's non sequitur proclamation of no damage to the United States by terrorists during his administration has led to an overwhelming amount of angst within our court system. Left leaning courts such as the 5th and 9th circuit somehow believe those standings and are willing to confront those who formulate defenses that differ.
Note: similar proclamations by Clinton and Obama went uncontested by those same courts.

The real problem in this case is that while those judges can ask and do ask questions that are totally superfluous to the case but in truth, they cannot include said queries in a verdict because any evidence that might be had for or against is above their seat and in most cases even above their seeing such evidence due to their security clearance.

You and I do agree then about the conundrum I wrote of earlier. The courts do not have the power they exert but their rulings stand which is definitely unconstitutional and vary from set protocols by that same constitution.
Perhaps the new AG, Jeff Sessions, can put in his two cents and make it stick or perhaps we do have to wait for that special Supreme Court Justice to sway the lower courts back into submission.

I have a belief that things will all come together but I also feel that Trump is going too fast for the new slow pace that the United States citizenry has learned to live with and indeed, now over indulges in.
There's a reason for the axiom, "in a New York minute" which is that everything in New York City is extremely fast paced. In the business world, if you're not up and going at full bore each second of the day then you will get left behind hence the reason Trump does things the way he does.
Even Reagan didn't travel as fast as Trump much to the chagrin of some even in the GOP but the upside of it all will be (I trust) a better, safer, and more financially secure America. When folks realize that some of the old, nearly fogotten ways still work then things will quiet down and start running in a more united way.

During his confirmation hearings, he promised to recuse himself from immigration issues, which was also the wrong thing to do.

This article was trending on FB a little while ago and I hope it's true. This time hopefully he will make his new Executive order Court proof! ;)

Trump considering new order on immigration

    Associated Press

President Donald Trump says that he's considering signing a new executive order on immigration as the one he signed suspending the nation's refugee program and barring citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries is held up in court.

Trump tells reporters aboard Air Force One on his way to Florida that he's confident he'll win his court battle.

But he says, "we also have a lot of other options, including just filing a brand new order."

He adds: "We need speed for reasons of security. So it could very well be that we do that."

Trump says a new order would likely change "very little" from the first and says he'll likely act next Monday or Tuesday.

He adds of his decision: "I'd like to surprise you."

Never thought of it like that but you're right, Trump is USED to the fast pace of the business world and things in Washington take years...
