    I'm former military (Navy). I wouldn't call anyone in the military a "killer". Thing is, in order to obtain "peace", killing sometimes has to be done.

    The Commander In Chief is having lunch with our neglected military. I find it refreshing!

    Sorry to say yes military might be a necessary for defence. The military has not brought peace in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, Libya, and lots more; all it has brought more people who want to kill Americans.

    So, you don't celebrate Veteran's Day or Memorial Day? Just wondering. I know there are those that don't, because they either don't like any part of the military or don't know anyone who is, or has been, in the military.

    You do have your right to feel the way you do, but those that honor the military have their right to feel they way they do.

    I have nothing against the military and like to treat the veterans very well it is not their fault for what the government does. I am against killing people especial people who did nothing except have oil or did not have a Rothschild bank.

    @Martin Alonzo
    It seems we might allocate the "killing machine" description to fit with previous Administrations, no? Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama.........A case could be presented in which military incursions exercised overseas by those previous leaders, might be used to explain the increased hatred and attempted violence against Americans. The price WE PAY, for having attempted to liberate poor folks being gormandized by regimes simply because their religion didn't match.....

    Fact is, our military troops are the very best equipped, physically and mentally (through horribly vigorous training) of any on earth. Bar none. While I worked at Sears, a young man, part-time selling appliances, told me he was being deployed in Desert Storm (he was in the Army Reserves). I told him to please take care. He was intelligent, big in stature and kindness, and appreciated my warning. Some months later, upon returning, I talked with him........he casually remarked the incursion had given him the opportunity to see the world which he otherwise would have never been afforded. Regarding the Saudis......"They were fun to play basketball with, but soldiers, they definitely are not".

    I loved that kid. His name was Mike Gilbert. imp
