Just wanted to remind those on the forum that the price for a Lifetime Senior Pass for the National Park system will be going from $10.00 to $80.00 soon. I am not good at links, but if you go to nps.gov they explain how to get one. We got ours by going to a local National park and filling out the paperwork. $10.00 cost in person. You can apply online, but it cost another $10.00 Great way to enjoy our great Park system.
Wow, that's a big increase. I have quite a few National parks within driving distance of me but I won't go alone. Have gone to all of them nearby when my ex was not my ex....don't know what it cost because he paid. I may get one online anyway though...just in case.
I'm still debating if I should get one. If I ever meet someone and stay here, yes, I would use it. But those chances are slim since I'm not looking. If it was $10 online instead if $20, I'd go for it....but $20 to me is too much for nothing. I'll have to see what it costs to get into a park without a pass.
My wife has one. No National Parks here to use it on, but when/if we move back to Colorado, we'll definitely go back into Rock Mountain NP using the Senior Pass. Love looking at those big racked Bull Elk there.
